Yesterday, I finished getting the old Eagle 5 ready for work when we had a rather rude visitor to Baffin. He is a Lane Hacker in a Scimitar named Big.Blob.Billy.Bob. The comm log speaks for itself, I think.
Quote:[24.05.2010 02:26:30] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: What's this place?
[24.05.2010 02:26:51] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Seems I'm lost
[24.05.2010 02:27:11] [TAZ]Eagle.5: This is Baffin. Shasta and Sedona are Freeports.
[24.05.2010 02:27:28] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: What?
[24.05.2010 02:27:40] [TAZ]Eagle.5: Pueblo Bonito is our temple and closed to outsiders.
[24.05.2010 02:28:19] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Well. freeports... they don't like me there
[24.05.2010 02:30:57] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Aah these ones didn't like me neither
[24.05.2010 02:31:36] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: So, where is that pueblo bonito that you mentioned?
[24.05.2010 02:32:11] [TAZ]Eagle.5: It's closed to outsiders. Basically, you don't need to know.
[24.05.2010 02:32:23] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: And what would happen if I find it?
[24.05.2010 02:32:39] [TAZ]Eagle.5: Approaching without permission will get you shot.
[24.05.2010 02:32:49] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Let's see
[24.05.2010 02:32:57] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: well, I've not been fair with you
[24.05.2010 02:33:10] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: There's one station
[24.05.2010 02:33:21] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: I've been shooting zoners to get information out of them
[24.05.2010 02:34:57] [TAZ]Eagle.5: That sort of behavior is.... frowned upon here.
From there, I figured that a battle was coming, and I don't quite trust the Eagle 5 for combat y.t, so I docked and had a word with the dockmaster. He told me that the Templar Gimmel was available, and put me in touch with the Captain. Since his pilot was on leave, he took me aboard, and we undocked just in time to catch our intruder approaching the temple. Gimmel's log follows.
Quote:[24.05.2010 02:41:22] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: One of my friends tells me that someone's threatening Zoners here.
[24.05.2010 02:41:32] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: And you know what
[24.05.2010 02:41:42] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Another zoner just pointed me in the right direction
[24.05.2010 02:41:46] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Trying to escape
[24.05.2010 02:42:11] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: Go. Away.
[24.05.2010 02:42:12] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: So this is the summun
[24.05.2010 02:42:32] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: Fine... have it your way.
[24.05.2010 02:42:46] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Don't be stupid
[24.05.2010 02:43:29] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: And stay gone.
[24.05.2010 02:43:34] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Don't cry because your big gunboat can't do anything
[24.05.2010 02:44:01] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: You're flying away, right?
[24.05.2010 02:44:06] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Am I?
[24.05.2010 02:44:21] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Perhaps you should re phrase it
[24.05.2010 02:44:29] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Do I know the location of your base now?
[24.05.2010 02:44:41] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Will I come back with reinforcements?
[24.05.2010 02:44:57] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: It's not a secret, foolish boy.
[24.05.2010 02:44:57] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Those are the questions you should make
[24.05.2010 02:45:07] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Right, that's why you have it hidden
[24.05.2010 02:45:13] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Because you want everyone to know where it's
[24.05.2010 02:45:26] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: Any idiot with eyes can see it.
[24.05.2010 02:45:34] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: can you see it?
[24.05.2010 02:46:28] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: I see someone with a death wish. We're an easygoing bunch up here, but you broke the rules.
[24.05.2010 02:46:50] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: who cares about your laws
[24.05.2010 02:46:51] Don't use F1 or disconnect when interacting with other players.
[24.05.2010 02:47:21] Death: priez was killed by a hostile vessel.
[24.05.2010 02:48:21] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: And?
[24.05.2010 02:48:23] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: That's all?
[24.05.2010 02:48:35] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Poor bastard, can't even fulfit his words
[24.05.2010 02:49:17] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: And what now, zoner?
[24.05.2010 02:50:38] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Give up
[24.05.2010 02:51:54] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: I can almost hear you crying there
[24.05.2010 02:52:52] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: pointless
[24.05.2010 02:53:20] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Well done, you almost hurt me
[24.05.2010 02:53:25] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: Fine. Keep running.
[24.05.2010 02:53:30] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Keep crying
[24.05.2010 03:00:03] [TAZ]Epsilon.Eridani: Kallisti!
[24.05.2010 03:00:32] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Outstanding, now a destroyer
[24.05.2010 03:00:36] [TAZ]Epsilon.Eridani: // hmm i think i have a ZDF eagle in 29
[24.05.2010 03:00:48] [TAZ]Epsilon.Eridani: // want me to popin?
[24.05.2010 03:00:58] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: Sure.
[24.05.2010 03:01:50] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Yes, another gunboat will work
[24.05.2010 03:02:43] [TAZ]Sidhe: Howdy guys ...
[24.05.2010 03:02:53] ZDF-Invictus.Adagio: 'Morning
[24.05.2010 03:02:54] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: We need a fighter to keep this guy in place.
[24.05.2010 03:03:00] ZDF-Invictus.Adagio: Closing in
[24.05.2010 03:03:03] [TAZ]Sidhe: Hmm
[24.05.2010 03:03:22] [TAZ]Sidhe: I have Indie bomber in FP6
[24.05.2010 03:03:29] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: He's good enough to evade a gunboat.
[24.05.2010 03:03:29] ZDF-Invictus.Adagio: Requesting permissin to go near PB, dear TAZ
[24.05.2010 03:03:44] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: We could use the help.
[24.05.2010 03:04:13] ZDF-Invictus.Adagio: Standing by
[24.05.2010 03:04:54] Sluagh_Sidhe: i'm on my way
[24.05.2010 03:05:31] [TAZ]Linus.Koios: I'm on my way from Canaria - might take a few.

[24.05.2010 03:07:20] [TAZ]Arashi: I'd laugh if we all arrive at the same time

[24.05.2010 03:08:31] [TAZ]Linus.Koios: Has he responded to any hails, or is he just shootin' up the locals?
[24.05.2010 03:08:37] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: Feel free to pursue, but I'm just glad he's gone.
[24.05.2010 03:08:53] ZDF-Invictus.Adagio: I'm not a MM
[24.05.2010 03:08:59] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: Don't be sad, none gunboat can destroy my ship
[24.05.2010 03:09:01] [TAZ]Templar.Gimmel: He taunted me a lot.
[24.05.2010 03:09:03] ZDF-Invictus.Adagio: This is not my duty to pursue
[24.05.2010 03:09:04] Big.Blob.Billy.Bob: You are not the first idiot trying
As you can see, he's an impolite sort, but he managed to evade us despite more ships showing up. After the reinforcements began to arrive, he ran to Coronado. It would give me great pleasure to boil him, but getting rid of him was the next best thing. I vote that we put him on the Enemas list.
Now that the unpleasant business in concluded, we can move on to happier things.
Doc, I heard the good news! Congratulations on the new addition to your family! Give my regards to Midori.
Congrats on the new bouncing one... Hope all is well, I hope you aren't gonna recruit underage babies *grins*.
In regards to a previous report on Big.Blob.Billy.Bob
*cough* Passing *cough* by Barrier Gate Station, I came across him, he had 2 zoner pilots.
I requested he hand them over. We recovered them, I believe they are in good shape, but was not the one that retrieved them. Otherwise he talked a lot, was insulting, full of himself and basically had a downright nasty attitude towards Zoners. Sadly he didn't attack me, so after I was sure the Zoners were safely away, I returned to Pueblo Bonito.

Dear Brothers.
It seems that fields around Sirius Produce more cabbage this time of year than ever. Last couple days traffic in Bafiin remind me a pot full of boiling bigos. Some of them definitely have hod dog buns instead the brain and try dock for all cost in Pueblo Bonito. Is very irritating when i need leave study of Principia's and go every 30 minutes because scanners screaming incoming boogie...
My proposition is to put minefield around Pueblo Bonito similar to this one surrounding Corinth Research Station in Omicron 74.
Besides That my Brother Raphael was generous enough and I officially can announce beginning of construction new Aquilon Class Carrier designed to permanent defense of Our Temple.
Eris be Damned if after That Any Cabbage try go closer that 5k near Our Holly Home!!!

Commander, I'm going to give you more than you bargained for. Your new medical officer will be joining us on Med.Force.One for some training. Expect him to be with us for six months to a year, depending on how fast he picks up on things. When my people get done with him, he'll be one of the best.
I have dispatched a team to you that will provide you with two good medical personnel who are well versed in emergency surgery and have been given all I know about Klingon anatomy. If they ask your crew for volunteers for some scans and such, I encourage you to allow it as it will help them to better help you.
With them are some medical engineers who will be analyzing and upgrading your medical facilities. I will ship in whatever they need so you need not worry about that.
Mind you, these are medical professionals and none are into Klingon cuisine or the harsh lifestyle your crew may share so spare them that agony. One of them, however, has been learning the bat'leth and has requested you personally work with him on it.
If they haven't gotten there already, they will within the day. I hope this will address your needs.
-Doc

Yes, Simon,
It does seem that the cabbages are out in force but a mine field? I think I would rather a gun platform set up much like that of Omicron 74 right around Lividia Shipyard. It's enough to drop a dreadnaught. For the time, I say we start being a bit less nice with the "visitors" unless they have previously arranged it.

I am ordering all TAZ ships to stay out of Gallia due to the recent FP10 disaster. I don't want to see another Zoner life lost to these Imperialists!
I have recalled any Consul ships that were sent to Marne some time back. One is out and doing work elsewhere, the other is preparing for the trip out.
I am awaiting a list of goods needed to repair FP10 so stand bye for that.
The negh'var had been at Gran Canaria for a week to give the crew and colonists aboard Shore Leave, and to rendezvous with the Med Force One to pick up the new medical team. Rajuc had spent the last four days in one of Gran Canaria's more remote regions. The area was known for it's impressive predators and proved to be a fine place to hunt. He had spent the first three days tracking a large bear-like animal. When he finally tracked it down, it proved to be very worthy prey. Last night's feast was one to remember. Or not, considering the amount of bloodwine he had consumed. All in all, he was in a great mood, and ready to get back on duty.
Rajuc sat in his chair on the bridge, going over the paperwork that had accumulated during his hunting expedition. As most of the crew was not due to return until tomorrow, he had the bridge to himself (except for his personal guard, Leader Kras, of course), automatic controls being more than sufficient to the task of maintaining the negh'var's orbit.
As Rajuc went over one of the status reports from the engineering section, he heard the bridge doors open. The new arrival's footfalls sounded unusually light for a Klingon. Rajuc turned his chair around to see who it was, but Leader Kras got there first. It was a Klingon boy, about six or seven years old, by the look of him. Undoubtedly the son of one of his crew. Kras grabbed the boy by the arm. The boy didn't show a bit of fear. Rajuc was impressed. Kras was a very intimidating man.
"You cannot be on the bridge! Get back below at--"
Rajuc interrupted Kras. "No, Leader, it's fine. Boy, come over here."
The child came over and stood before the captain. He stood straight as Rajuc studied him, still not showing a bit of fear. Many older warriors couldn't manage that. The boy reminded Rajuc of his own son, dead these long years.
"What is your name?"
"N'grath, son of N'gane, sir!" N'grath paused a moment. "Are you really the Captain?"
Rajuc smiled at that one. He pointed to the chair he was sitting on.
"This is the Captain's chair. Nobody but the ship's captain may sit here, so I am either the Captain, or I am in a lot of trouble."
That made N'grath laugh. Rajuc thought for a moment, then thought of something. He got up from his chair and motioned for N'grath to sit, which he did, after a moment.
"N'grath, you are Captain for now. You may give one order, and it will be obeyed."
N'grath thought for a moment.
"I want to hear a story."
"A story. And what kind of story would you like to hear?"
"I want to hear about battle and enemies. I want it to be a true story."
"A true story about battle and enemies..." Rajuc pauses for a moment. "I know just the one."
Rajuc went over to the replicator to get a raktajino, since storytelling was thirsty work. He went back to where N'grath was sitting, and took a drink. Then, he began his story.
"Years ago, when I was a young officer serving the Empire, we encountered a race that we had never met before, called the Salhein. They controlled a small empire of about a dozen systems on the border of Klingon space. They were technologically inferior to us, and we defeated the first of their ships we met with little trouble. Since they possessed natural resources that the Empire had need of, we called in a fleet to begin the conquest.
The Salhein were a proud race, unwilling to surrender easily, and they sent a large task force to try and hold back our fleet. Though their ships were no match for ours, they came at us anyway. We defeated them with very few losses on our side. One of their outer colonies fell shortly after that."
Rajuc paused to take another drink, then resumed his story again.
"The Salhein knew they were doomed, but where another race would surrender to despair, the Salhein fought back with even greater strength. They made us fight for every kellicam of space. In my life, I have never seen anything like it. They would weep, they would pray, they would say good-bye to their loved ones, and then throw themselves, without fear or hesitation, at the very face of death itself, never surrendering. No one who saw them fighting against the inevitable could help but be moved by their courage, their stubborn nobility. When they ran out of ships, they used guns. When they ran out of guns, they used knives, and sticks, and bare hands. They were magnificent. I only hope that when it is my time, I may die with half as much dignity as I saw in their eyes at the end. They did this for three years! They never ran out of courage. But in the end, they ran out of time."
Rajuc paused again, caught up in the memory of it. N'grath was clearly enjoying the story.
"Finally, we closed in on their homeworld. They sent every ship they had capable of spaceflight to stand aganst us. At least a third of them didn't even have weapons, but they stood against us just the same. They were determined to stop our advance at all costs, even though they knew it was hopeless. True to form, they never surrendered, fighting us until their very last ship. All that remained was to land soldiers on the planet.
N'grath spoke up at that point. "Did we conquer them?"
Rajuc paused again. "No, we didn't. We destroyed their ships, captured their planets, and took their resources for our own, but no, the Salhein were not conquered. No matter how many of them we killed, they refused to kneel. They fought us, every man, woman, and child. No matter what happened, they would not be slaves. Eventually, they were all killed, since the planet's Governor was unwilling to tolerate the slightest rebellion. Despite all that they lost, they died a free people. They were almost Klingon in that regard. Truly, they were a worthy enemy."
Rajuc smiled at N'grath as he finished up his story. N'grath told Rajuc that he enjoyed the story.
"I'm glad you did. Now, you should go back below. I have work here to do. It was good meeting you, N'grath, son of N'gane. qapla'!"
N'grath stood up and started toward the door, clearly having enjoyed his time on the bridge. Rajuc went back to his status reports, this time with a smile on his face.

Good day popes.
Today as i was guarding our sanctuum, a ship docked to Pueblo Bonito despite my requests to stop. The pilot then escaped to Coronado without a word.

RE: Cabbages And Bonito
We have all right to shoot these cabbages and send them back from whence they came so warn them once and make the second one with plasma. Anyone gives any crap about it, they can contact me! No, I don't care if you shoot their transport with your destroyer, it is our system!
