I don't play much anymore, have a lot of free time on my hands, and when I start a project, I am usually determined to finish it in as timely a fashion I can without sacrificing quality of my work.
Nowthen, no one will be instructing you. If you really want - you must earn that knowledges yourself. I know how damn hard it is to teach someone to make models, while I've spent monthes on getting it all myself, so now I can do anything model related. If you really want to be a developer, you will learn all you need from different tutorials, as I did in my time, willing to replace imported ships while no one paid attention to that problem. Well, sure thing I have not succeed, but at least I know how does one work, and I've got experience.

If you are really that mad, you need to take a break.
Or start playing from the scratch.
Somehow, but jumping stuff does not bother me.
Colonial/IMG stuff - neither (I don't fly caps). And I see no much difference in Pirate and Slaver IDs.
I suppose that majority of our community think the same.
So, calm down, take a rest and go back, concentrating your attention not on the game quality but at own roleplay. You can have fun even from roleplaying!

This lets freelancers use it, but makes it difficult to defend against piracy, and cant be used with cloaks. It also makes the Bret Luxury Liner unusable by pirates, which was always ridiculous given the RP nature of the ship.
All of the stuff is badly to retarded balanced. It is really huge potential waster with all those nice models made by modellers and the genius Coding by Cannon.
Discovery really needs new capable balance team, or the old team must start to response to the feedback given by experienced players and fix what is broken and take more people that actually play the game. Since I does not believe in the second one due to multiple tries and fails( open balance part of the forum and start laughing on the hypocrisy and circus there). Option 1 stays as it seems.
I could give you ton of examples of retrarded stuff but there is no point to waste virtual space since they wont be fixed.

The pirate ID encourages a whole different style of role play to the slaver Id. The entire purpose of the pirate id is to get people to pirate while the slaver Id is mostly about trafficking slaves and only has demanding human cargo as a secondary objective.
Also people treat slavers differently to pirates. The diplomacy is different.

So, I'm sitting there, reading the thread for a bit, glazing over at the stupidity as I went along & the by the end, it all just comes off as a big ball of whahh.
Over all, I just wanna say I'm not a dev, but I've talked to a handful off & on & been on their forums in my time. Anyhoo, I know just enough about the devs to know the crappy parts of the job are in reality, pretty damn crappy. A person with half a brain would be empathic enough to not make a difficult job unnecessarily more difficult for the devs by acting like asinine ingrate players barking angry & frustrated diarrhea from the dead center of their personal universe.
Take the time to apply a soothing & healing ointment onto those sore pussies of yours & get over yourselves while y'all consider reality for a moment.
Quitcherbitchin' It's all free. Disco's just a hobby for the devs & no one should expect perfection.
Regardless of how valid a gripe may be, don't act like a self centered dick when voicing it. Get over your irritation & bloated sense of entitlement and act more polite. The devs don't have to give anyone the time of day when bitched at, yet they put up with it sometimes.
Instead of bitching like a retard, join the dev team & work with 'em
If you're unwilling to do that quitcherbitchin'
If you want to, but don't know how to dev get off your intimidated ass & go teach yourself. Don't claim to say 'I would, but I need to be taught" Either get off your ass & go teach yourself or don't. If you do, Cool. quitcherbitchin' and Join the dev team. If you don't, quitcherbitchin' and gtfo
& speaking of...If you wanna leave over things you don't like about the mod, do it. Don't talk about it, don't threaten it...just shut up & do it.
I hate to break it to ya, but disco will survive without ya. Y'all could all organize take as many people with you as you can get, and still, Disco will go on while y'all become nothing more than archived gc history & a memory.
tl;dr: either use common sense or quitcherbitchin' & gtfo
