Most of me says 'meh'. I have (probably) one of the oldest camera ships on the server. Using it is...interesting. The very very small hardpoint the ship has is not really in a 'common sense' place, and I find myself missing asteroids that I thought I'd hit, and then being spun around by asteroids I thought I'd clearly missed. It's harder to fly then it looks, and turret mode is really really really far away, making it hard to get used to.
Millers, although yes, we don't have camera ships hiding in planets now, it's impossible to kill a camera ship unless he wants to be killed, or drifts into some mines while filming. (been there done that) so people could use them to 'hide' anyway.

The atmospheric and coronal deathzones are not hollow. They extend from the center of the sun or planet all the way out to wherever the edge of the atmosphere or corona is.
No matter how much hull the ship has, eventually it will die from the constant hull damage.
Back in Betas, Minnesota had missions that started in the sun. Base kill missions were impossible.
NPC kill missions were over before they started. Good times.
