Because we couldnt finish the tests. You (or just someone) suddenly reversed all changes and went for class 9 shield.

'Nighthawk Wrote:You're COMPLAINING about how HARD the Greyhound is to KILL?
What the hell?
The Greyhound's NICHE was that it was small, fast, not very good in 1 v 1, but that ship was GOD in GROUP ENGAGEMENTS where it was SUPPOSED to be impossible to hit. So you're NERFING ships for doing what they're SUPPOSED to do now?
I would like to say, it probably wasnt LN, or anyone from Liberty. It was actually BAF, which has Templars, one of the slowest VHFs. In group fights they had problems with hitting it, and since Paladin is useless razorbait, they couldnt do much else than just point it out and hope something happens. Only way of killing us in MR vs BAF events was flooding the area with mines, and hoping we will unluckily ram a few of them. :D
In the end, the battle events died out because BAF got fed up of 2 hour long fights, in which they just couldnt do anything else than hope a stray razor or nuke hits us.
So, the problem was actually lying in Bretonia, not Liberty. Since LN is using mostly Guardians, I can imagine the horror of fighting them in a Greyhound.
Well then, how about you reduce the size of bretonian fighters? Or maybe the Rogues and mollys get their own shiplines and the Pirate shipline is for Generic pirates?
Reducing Templar size is I believe impossible, its a vanilla model. Paladin was already sized down, the problem is its shape, which is almost literally a box. It has no good spots, you always face your enemy with the biggest profile. It needs new model, or little upsize and "light" VHF stats.
Their own shiplines, if based on the current pirate line, could work, but you need modellers with free time to do that.

Err... see earlier in the thread where Glouchester posted a comparison of the Grey and Templar. I don't think you'll want to scale it down...
In the same way we don't buff/nerf guns on Cruisers because they suck on large cruisers but are God on small cruisers... we shouldn't nerf fighters because they're good against some ships and crap against others.
Is there anything that can't out turn a Templar? <_<
Funny how the Chimera didn't get nerfed in the same way...
It's actually funny that the same people who complain about Greyhound being too hard to hit, are saying that hitting Chimaeras outside 1vs1 is fine.
Anyway:

Yes, that's why I'm against the idea of Rogues getting a "VHF" which is similar to other factions. Instead it would be nice as a "heavy" HF. With like 5 guns, eagle or sabre powercore, and something a bit under executioner turning. Or in other words... Gladiator with 5 guns and only one slot.
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
Anyway reason why I'm posting here all the time is that I'd like to hear suggestions.....
On dev team there are currently 3:
1. It's hard to hit, keep it as it is (without shield or with shield)
2. Make it a copy of GMG HF
3. The one that I just wrote (post #46)

The Greyhound was already underpowered. It recieved a bigger model and less armour in 4.85, and nothing to compensate for it. If you're going to leave it with less shield, at least give us a turret. I've even provided you with a new updated model which made the cockpit bigger and re-hardpointed it to include a turret. It also somewhat fixed the rediculously large shield bubble it had.
If you're not going to give us a turret, then give us more agility. The Greyhound didn't recieve any compensation for getting a bigger model at all. Instead it got two nerfs because some of the slowest fighters in the game couldn't hit it <_<
