A minirazor never stopped a gunboat or bomber from engine killing, never stopped a trader from running away, and never stopped anyone from spamming missiles or mines. That, combined with how tiny Liberty lawful fighters are (Seriously, just look at the Liberator), minirazors would be useless.
Well, then try the Minirazor on it (if you know how to use that thing, of course). LR usually works in groups, doesn't it? There should be enough CDs on other ships. The Greyhound has a HUGE powerplant for its size. You can fire the MR all the time and hit pretty well.
If you willingly nerf yourself, don't cry that you are weak.
Edit: The Werewolf is a pwn-machine in the right hands - in MP, of course.

Problem: other ships will do that engine kill thing and glue themselves to my not-as-maneuverable-as-advertised rear and missile/minespam. And then I die.

In the rare event, I find myself accompanied by others. Usually a barghest, which I then have to try and protect. Usually, thanks to my time zone and limited time on the FL-capable computer, I'm quite alone.

Lolwhat? The things can't even shoot four class nine guns for four seconds, while the smaller Liberty VHFs can use four class tens and another two class nines-- and a turret!

I don't do that anymore. I now carry regens and CD missiles. I used to not do that because you're right, it did make me weaker. And I'm not nerfing myself by not using a minirazor... minirazor doesn't do any good if your enemy's always on your tail thanks to EK.

Just a few words...
Guardian powerplant: 11400 / 1160
Greyhound powerplant: 12400 / 1270
Edit: It should be able to shoot 4 Sammaels for 11 seconds.

That can't be right, unless the Sammael's have a bugged energy usage. I've flown the LSF VHF for a while, and it had a lot more firepower than the Greyhound. I'd always believed the two ships to be roughly equivalent.
You do realize the Greyhound only has four guns, right? Not exactly wonderful for busting up transports. Might be better to go with the Werewolf or Barghest for that.
As for the mini, it's deadly on that thing. Trust me. I've been on the recieving end of that so many times. And it does indeed have a massive powerplant. You should be able to fire 4 Sammies continuously for about 10 <strike>minutes</strike> seconds, I meant seconds.
10 minutes? You must be joking. I just had a fight in it and I could fire 4 Sammaels and Belial turret (level 5) at any time I wanted for as long as I wanted WHILE I was razoring nigh constantly. I don't think I need to explain how much damage all that dishes out if it all hits? Also whoever says that the Werewolf has bad turning is simply spreading lies. The Werewolf needs different tactics, and if you can't adjust to it then it is your fault and NOT the fault of the ship. Same goes for Greyhound, which can razor like a mad man and with 4 guns you always have the energy to do it. Mounting CD on that ship is silly. The agility and small size of it helps you avoid projectiles. It's as simple as that.

Yes. I do realize. It really sucks.

I'm fine with the Greyhound being terrible at busting up transports. Like you said, that's the Barghest's job (not the Werewolf's... it can't dodge the transport's guns). But what I'm NOT fine with is the Greyhound being terrible against Liberty fighters, which right now, it is.

Okay.
1: Yes, minirazor is powerful. I get that. I am not arguing.
2: Minirazor does not help if the enemy is using engine-kill and cruise disruptors. Why? Because they're behind you.
3: I can fire 4 sammies continuously for about 4 seconds before they're drained in a Greyhound.
4: After I've fired my sammies, I need to wait longer than it takes a shield to come back up before I can fire a minirazor (I've tested this against NPCs).
EDIT

LIES! The Greyhound doesn't even HAVE a turret. Your experiences while haxx0r-modding do not count.

The werewolf could turn as well as a Liberator, but it wouldn't change much. It's still too big to dodge things in.

I do not know about your claims that it can razor like a mad man. Before the update, not even the Barghest could do that. And I really doubt your claim that I have four guns I always have the energy to use. I have to fire in very short, quick bursts, or all my energy is drained.

The only thing I can advise to you is to check if you haven't mounted at least 7 Sammaels "by accident", that's what you would need for such power drain on Greyhound. Some people manage to mount multiple weapons on one hardpoint. That's the only explanation to your situation I can imagine. At least the only one not involving delusions.
