Recently, I've read a rumor on planet Malta. I was quite surprised to read that the outcasts in fact fear, that IMG may attack omicrn alpha from Falkland base in Tau 37. Why would they fear a bunch of underarmed miners?

Those miners have nice fighters really..

But its not the type of fear your thinking. They are using it in a different way. When you fear someone might do something, your either in real fear of it, or you expect they will do something you don't want them to. Its a figure of speech. Outcasts don't think of them as a real threat if they attacked, but they would be able to hurt the Outcasts, and thats why they attack Falkland.

Ok, the new faction "Freelancer" sounds like it would work for mercenary. Has anyone figured out how to get that tag?

Freelancers are fully neutral towards most other factions, they've got no bases or missions. You won't be able to get their tag, and this won't be changed.
