Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet.
Or pirates...

Be open and communicate with people!

I killed a Gunboat with it just a few days ago. Well a Station was helping me a bit but I still had a lot of Nanobots left.

Liners should get their own Shieldclass, thats the only thing I'd like to change. If you consider the negative stats of that ship such as: getting stucked at every tradelane, cost of 200 Million Credits, not even being a 5K Transport for that price, being a huge target for even a blind bomber pilot.

The best you can do is to compare it with a Shire.

Shire:
Cost: 100 Million
Hull: 150K
Cargo: 4200
Turret Slots: 12
B/Bs: 500/500

Luxury Liner:
Cost: +200 Million
Hull: 180K
Cargo: 4300
Turret Slots: 11
B/Bs: 700/700

For more the twice of the Shire price you get a bit more Armour and few B/Bs.

And there's a group of people that think it shouldn't be anything past an oversized transport with some armour thrown on it.
Choose your camp, I personally don't fly them and never see them, and don't hold a position on this issue.

My views.

Hmm I have an idea.. perhaps Lux Liner could be given a 20 m/s speed boost. So it thrusts at 160... just enough to get away from gunboats and such.. Same could be said for other liners... They could get more speed. (Not the slave liner though, that one does not look fast at all)

That's true, but now put some armor on them like, for example, Cap 6:

Shire: Armor 540000 Bot-efficiency 1800

LuxLiner: Armor 648000 Bot-efficiency 2520

that doen't look too bad, does it?

Actually, escorts are very useful. As long as they mount Debs and have decent aim, they can keep the power core down on a bomber so that it can't fire its SNAC.

well i dont think lux liners should be tanks, but lets face it , rich folks will not be shelling out money to fly in a origami piece of art.

Leave transport weaponry as it is but buff up the hull. big tme. and may be gunboat class shield. So if gets attacked, it still has a chane to make it to a base. lets try half a battlship hull for giggles.

Liners are just too expansives. They don't worth 200 millions.

I agree. For the exorbitant price we shell out for them, Liners should seriously be better than other transports. Buff the shields, buff the armour, do whatever it takes to make them worth the money.
