I would like to ask how you use a minirazor to stop a gunboat, bomber, VHF, HF, LF, or any other ship that outclasses you firepower-wise from engine-killing and then jousting you, blowing you up in the first pass since your armor and shields are total crap.

I would try dodging...

Btw, I thought you are trying to support a pirating group. Don't tell me your group pirates with no CDs, especially when all your pirating ships have an extra CD slot...

And even if you wanted just to pwn some LN fighters, some Werewolves or an otherwise mixed group can be useful there.

You need to prove something, before you are allowed to say "Q.E.D";)

Believe or not, you can MR someone without getting blown up by his first volley. You can fire your guns and fire the MR just once in a while. You don't have to only joust.

Edit: The Greyhound is no worse than any other HF in this.

You completely miss the point of Greyhound. It's the only ship in the pirate line which is not made for piracy. It's support for all those Werewolves, Barghests and Hyenas, it's not supposed to be pirating on it's own much.

If you mount a CD on it, you might be able to stop people, but then don't cry about low firepower. The greyhound is tiny from the front by the way, I can't see how you could die in the first pass, unless you're a total idiot and dont strafe out of nukes or simply fly straight. In jousts you have actually advantage of small front profile.

[MR] has all Greyhounds outfitted with MRs (the irony) and it works fine, I don't see what is your problem really.

Barghests and Ptranses don't need the support of Greyhounds, as they're better against fighters than Greyhounds are.

If the Greyhound were to be buffed, then they might actually be useful in their role. Also, STFU about the Molly Republic. They're flying against slow, big Templars. It's not exactly like you can MR a Liberator (or at least, I can't. I bet SOMEONE could).

We've been considering doing this. I'd rather not need to do that, as it's always better RP to fly your own faction's shipline rather than a different one.

Slow big Templars with 700m/s guns. You're flying against Guardians or even Avengers with 600m/s magmas, sometimes Vengeances, but those are not getting used often from what I've seen. Guardians are fast, yes, but most of the time you see them with 600m/s guns and even 2.0 refire ones, which are easier to dodge. Avengers are nearly as slow as Templars.

And yes, MRing a Liberator is hard. It is supposed to be hard, it's a LF. :) MRing a Hussar is hard too.
