If this person wants to destroy this community and the other Disco communities something must have hacked them off pretty good. I say we trawl through sanction reports etc. until we find likely candidates who were incredibly frustrated at the time of sanctions.
Anyone remember that guy who appeared and posted in the flood about the unfairness of his sanction and then we all proceeded to flame him intensely?
Yea, that would alienate a person quite a bit, and then what better to do then learn how to DDoS attack and destroy the servers as revenge?

*cough* That will, after about 5 weeks of searching, result in...... *calculating*

*PING*

593 possible candidates!

This *hacker* has failed miserably.
Why because they where out to destroy Disco. If disc stops then what are they going to do. They have nothing in their life but trying to destroy us. If they succeed then they will have nothing to do, no one to hack thus their existance is over and they will have no goal.
This is a nice break for me to work on a few stories. As for the *hacker*
I feel sorry for them.

Even then, we got many many things to keep the comunity alive and organise a rebuild.
Namely skype.
To keep us from using skype he need to crash skype servers.
If he does, he will be found and in crap.

Trying to end this community by crashing servers is like trying to dismantle and eliminate a terrorist organization by killing a few of its leaders. Sure we may run around like crazy for a while (random admin sanction posts followed by lolwut and lolcow pics), but eventually the organization is back up and running again, with some new found improvements. You can't kill or destroy something by only attacking one part of its existence, and to be blunt, you cannot feasibly attack all of disco's existences (skype, forums, servers, etc.) simultaneously. The only way to destroy disco, would be to invite all of its members and dev teams to a big free dinner at a convention center with free liquor, and then bomb the place, effectively killing everyone then and there. BBut even with that, someone would probably start a disco server up afterward as a memorial to us all.

BTW... free dinner and liquor at my house this Saturday....never mind the large fertilizer filled vans out in front.

This is only making our community stronger, notice how were all rallied together to get the server back up? A backfired plan if you ask me.
