How can you possibly justify likening the Guardian to the Katana (by calling it a HF with VHF stats) when even the Wraith turns faster?
Im guessing the reason why the Greyhound got taken down a notch was because they consisted of 90% of the rogues I saw. I was actually scouting for a werewolf back in 4.84, didn't see one. Much has changed since then, the werewolf has gotten better and the greyhound has gotten worse.
Its right to say that the Greyhound isn't meant for pirating. Its the same as the Gladiator. It is meant as a general support ship. To support something, you shouldn't be alone, otherwise you're not supporting anything. When I think of it like that, it makes more sense why it cant kill a trader in good time. The Titan and the Werewolf on the other hand fall into the pirating category, with their heavy armour and ability to chuck out an aweful lot of pain. Whether you're a rogue or not isnt a prerequiste to be a judge what role a ship is meant to fulfill.
Normally I would say that the Hyena could maybe do that. But since it is a HF - VHF sized LF it maybe can take on a Patriot, but not really the Liberator.
"Who is it doing this synthetic type of alpha beta psychedelic funkin'?"

Maybe I'm wrong, but I could have sworn the Katana was classed as a HF in it's infocard.

You're kidding right? How has that ever been justification for a nerf? Because a lot of people use them? Newsflash, the Greyhound is supposed to be the Liberty Rogues trademark ship, if you read the infocard.
Quote:This has not stopped this ship becoming one of the favored vessels of the Liberty Rogue and Molly Republic though. As such it is a popular sight throughout space wherever credits are to be had.

At least in the past we were able to choose the roles of our ships, now they've been predefined for us. That's not fun.

Well, the Greyhound is a support ship according to you, right? So why isn't it balanced to fight the ship we face the most?
Greyhound and Guardian both have x5 forward facing weapons
Both have a relatively similar size
Guardian has Sabre powerplant
Greyhound has Eagle powerplant
Guardian has 11,000 armour
Greyhound has 8,200 armour
Guardian has x4 class 10s + 1 class 9
Greyhound has x5 class 9s
Greyhound turns faster
Personally, I don't see what's wrong with balancing the Greyhound similar to the Guardian. Maybe not exactly the same, the Greyhound could be a bit lighter, say;
x4 class 10, x1 class 5 turret
9,200 armour
Sabre powerplant
and then balance the turning similar to the Guardian, maybe slightly lighter.

Actually, McNeo's comparison made a lot of sense in that regard.
In a Titan + Gladiator pair, the Gladiator can carry a CD plus a torp-like weapon, and the Titan can choose one of those.
In a Werewolf + Greyhound pair, the Werewolf can carry a CD plus a torp-like weapon, and the Greyhound can choose one of those.
It's a support ship, think about it as a part of a team...
edit: About your suggestion ... I'm not really sure. Honestly. I guess I would prefer a turret over a CD on my Greyhound and I don't have a use for lvl 10 guns, but that's just me personally.
Right, 'part of a team'
but right now, the Werewolf is dragging all the weight. Your team is only as strong as your weakest member... and quite frankly two Werewolves would have more of an advantage than a Werewolf and a Greyhound right now.
Greyhound is far too light to have an extra CD slot. If you look at every ship that has one, they're usually pretty heavy compared with other ships in their class. Barghest, Challenger, Werewolf, Gladiator, Loki.
(Well, Loki doesn't have an extra CD but it has a torp slot as a LF.)
