Hullo everyone,
It appears that the Ion Storms have died down and we're all back to normal. Very good for the lot of us. Patrol today was very exciting at first, but led down a very steep slope into being boring.
First off, I came into the West Leeds Smog Cloud to see Admiral Percy Nelles engaged with a Molly, [MR]Angus.O'Connor, in a Wolfhound, and a Phantom, Luxuria, in a GMG fighter. Quite startling to see one of these in Bretonia, as their fighting skills are feared throughout the colonies, but, the result will come later in the report.
The admiral was fighting a very unfair fight; two versus one. I managed to jump in and help him out with the Molly, but, it didn't take much time to down him. After that, the Admiral called the Phantom. As Leeds is his jurisdiction, I moved 2k away and played traffic cop and clean up officer.
In the end, the Phantom ran to Dublin. Reports from the BAF indicate that he was eliminated. So much for renowned flying skills.
The rest of the patrol was uneventful. I arrested fifteen pirates held aboard a BowEx ship. Must have had a Mandelorian for an escort or somesuch.
Well, that's all,
~Douglas Palmer

Hello everyone,
The ion is still thick in the air, but, oh well. I met a Researcher, TraderBot, today. It was an oddity for two reasons:
1. He was flying a Ryuujiin Train
2. He was carrying Military Vehicles
If that was not weird, he only seemed to prove himself a smuggler. I asked about his intentions in Bretonia, and he stated he was moving to the Battleship York. I checked the licensing directory, and he was not registered. This ticked in my head as simply wrong. I asked him if he knew about licensing, which he did not. I then asked him if he would purchase licensing. He did not want to. I asked him to land on New London and set down the goods, as they are now contraband. He refused, and threatened me. I warned him that he would be fined if he fired on me, and he didn't care. In the end, he fired on me, and I returned fire on the smuggler. A pair of Planetform| came to my assistance, one a Falcon and one a Percheron, however, the Ion storms got to us before we could destroy the smuggler and take care of the contraband. He'll likely be hiding in the Combe Asteroid Field until the storms die down, so, I somehow doubt we'll find him at Durham...

Having made a few updates to the Investigation files, I took the shuttle to the launchpad and began a quick patrol which took me to Dublin as I noticed that a Bowex member was inside. Hypothesising he may be in troube I waited at the Battleship Essex and escorted him to the Omega 3 jumpgate in Camrbidge. My next stop was Planet Leeds after a very Kusarian name appeared on long range scanners.
I arrived and was flooded with people I had to scan, namely one 'BlackWidow' who drove all thoughts of a Kusarian from my mind, better to let the BAF find him.
This transport was hauling 1000 Military vehicles. I asked him to halt and noted his name was not on the liscenced list of persons allowed to transport that cargo.
I ordered him to pay 500,000 credits as is the fine set by the BPA high command.
He refused to pay indicating that he was moving them to McDuff Battleship in Tau 31.
I then explained to him that blockade running is not something that the BPA look upon with great happiness.
The trader then threatened to report me to some ruling body that I have never heard of and then made a break for it.
Although the BPA are strictly not allowed to go past Leeds I decided to pursue him as he crawled his way towards Stokes. As I disrupted the tradelane he opened fire without warning on me and I employed a new manouevre to stay out of his firing line. I took down his shields but it was all I could do to keep out of the way of his transport turrets and stay in pace. However, when it looked like he was going to get away, a loyal civilian appeared and I asked for help which said civilian provided.
The transport was disabled but without a member of the CCD we couldn't shift much of the vehicles back so those we couldn't carry we destroyed so that any Kusari forces around Stokes could not get them.
The pilot, who ejected, continued to threaten us with something called an "iPhone", but I left him floating out there, not enough room for him anyway. He may get picked up by the Kusari.
If this character ever surfaces again he is required to pay 5,000,000 credits for attacking a BPA officer and forcibly removed from Bretonia for smuggling and trying to run the blockade.

Greetings all,
I began a patrol of the New London system when I received reports of a corsair named Cristobal.Cortez[TBH] flying through the Leeds system. I accosted this one on the way to Battleship Derby...
Several Molly gunboats ruined our little exchange, and the fate of the corsair is unknown.

I met up with our new Junior Constable outside of Planet New London at the begining of the patrol and promised to show him the ropes. He proved himself to be a very good shot with his single Debilitator as I got him to disposove of some floating debris.
During the patrol we escorted a hostile Corsair type out of Bretonia but unfortunatley were not able to catch a certain Gaian that was perusing around Trafalgar (until the sight of two officers scared him away).
In Leeds we were treated to the sight of a Gaian Gunboat being absolutely pasted by the Derby which almost brought a smile to my lips; he however wisely took off before I decided to help out.
I'll let Mr Sykes tell the rest of the tale as it will be his first patrol report.
I leant him some of my Gun Cam shots as he doesn't quite know all the functions of his brand new Hussar yet.
But indeed a successful patrol and I commend our new Officer.

Hello all.
After aquiring my Hussar fighter and the appropriate identification, I began my first patroll outside Planet New London. Acting as guide and mentor to me was Commander Lucy Silsbury. We tested my aim and my weapons systems against a ferocious gang of floating items. Everything checked out and we began searching with our long-range scanners for nearby ships. After a few friendly but uneventful exchanges with gold traders, Commander Silsbury spotted a suspicous looking character named Peter Ericson entering the system. We scoured the trade lanes and gates for him, but sadly we were unsuccesful. As we were following a trade lane back to Planet New London, I saw a freelancer name "Grits". We scanned his hold and found that he was carrying a pirate ID.
Commander Silsbury and I ordered him to leave Bretonia space. At this point we were in the asteroid field around Trafalgar base. He agreed, but as we were leaving we noticed our original target, Mr Ericson, sneaking around behind us. He charged his cruise and ran away through the minefield. I fired cruise disrupters after him, but they both hit floating debris and he escaped. We escorted Grits out to the Leeds system, where we witnessed the amusing sight of a gaian gunboat being broadsided by the battleship Derby. The gunboat fled, and we escorted Grits out of Bretonia space and into Liberty. We then picked up Ericson on our scanners; he had made it to Dublin. We were planning to pursue him, when we met the Gaian Gunboat that had fled from the Derby. He didn't seem pleased when we mentioned his previous encounter with Her Majesty's Battleship, and threatened us with grevious bodily harm. We had bigger fish to fry, namely Mr Ericson, so we retreated. The Gaian followed us through an entire system before he relented.
As we were making our way to Peter Ericson, we checked our scanners again, and he had made it to Edinburgh. We decided that a fight between our two light fighters and a Gaian gunboat and heavy fighter was closer to suicide than law enforcement, we retreated back to New London. Commander Silsbury apparently had "a deskload of paperwork" to deal with, so she left me to my own devices for around ten minutes. I chatted with a few more legitimate traders then docked at New London, and finished my patroll.
Incident: Homocide at Kensington Shipping Platform
Reporting: Constable Fred Lymbery
At about 22:00 hours on 25 November 2009, I responded to a call from Dunblane Station dispatch to investigate a possible homocide at Kensington Shipping Platform.
After speaking with the Gateway station manager, a Mr. Soda, I was led to a freight elevator shaft where at the bottom, a body could be seen. With the assistance of the Gateway staff, I was lowered to the bottom of the shaft using a length of nano rope.
During my initial inspection, I discovered a female body age approximately mid to late twenties wearing a standard civiliam flight suit with deep wounds covering the arms and back. However, only a small amount of blood was found underneath the body. The look on the young woman's face was very disturbing. She suffered greatly right before her death.
I have closed the station and requested additional constables to assist with interviewing the pilots currently docked at the station and Gateway employees.
I will continue my investigation and report in after the autopsy. I'm forwarding this report to Commissioner Greene and Commander Silsbury.

Today my patrol was short but eventful. I headed out to Dublin and encountered a character flying a Shetland class transport by the name tag of 'Sovstransavto'.
I stopped him and asked him where he was going; he said something unintellegible leading me to conclude he has never learnt the English language.
He tried to run but I disrupted him upon which he opened fire on me.
I returned fire and had all his shield down at one point but lacked the firepower to damage his hull and he got to the New London Jumpgate.
He then took the tradelane with me in pursuit and docked at Planet New London. I radioed a Sergeant at the Hub and asked him to conduct a search for the Shetland Transport.
I spent a little while longer in space but am now commencing docking procedures at Planet NL.

The search continues for this Sovstransavto but the ground team Constables have only hit the main industrial ports at the moment.
I took Jnr. Constable Sykes for a patrol to show him some important jumpholes to plot in his Neural Net Map. After this was done we had reports of possible smugglers in Dublin. We were headed there with Superintendant Calvert going to cut them off in Leeds when a name flashed up on my long range scanners that made me divert course to Leeds.
Our friend BlackWidow is up to his old tricks again, his pod must have been picked up by someone after the last time we destroyed his ship.
Unfortunatley we were unable to apprehend his ship and he made it through Cambridge to Omega 3.

Yesterday marked the start of my second patroll. Most of it covered the more obscure regions around the backs of planets and through minefields. Commander Silsbury took me to some of the more significant jump holes that are used by smugglers and those sorts, so that i could navigate more effectively in the future. We were also seaching for a smuggler, by the name of BlackWidow. Commander Silsbury seemed particularly keen on catching this person as he engaged her on their last meeting and has become a bit of a problem for the BPA. We picked him up on scanners leaving dublin but didn't get to leeds in time to head him off and he got out of Bretonia space. An unsuccesful patroll, enforcement wise, but invaluable in the amount of shortcuts and secret passages i've logged into my Hussar's navigation. All the better to serve queen and country in the future.
