The Cruiser can place himself between the feuding transports, and CD the pirate to prevent pursuit, and do anything and everything that disrupts the pirate's ability to harm the charge without actually firing on them.

I think it would be very entertaining if we allowed cruisers to pirate for a week. I imagine that some would find that system less than totally satisfactory.

I remember during .8 when, for example, lawful cruisers COULD attack transports/smugglers, etc etc.
Wasnt that much lolwuting, and the ones that lolwut'd then would have done so regardless of the rules.
As for pirates and their caps, theyactualy SHOULD be able to, within reason use their caps to pirate, however that should also be reserved for that factions 'core' space (for thos pirate factions that have more than a guard systemall their own).

There was once a time when that was allowed during .84, and I never recall any lolwuters, aside frrom the normal 'I has spyglass ? LETS CAMP MANHATTAN' type radis that still occur even today.
I think more than a few of you ought to actually go and read the rules, and get the hard drives between your
