I would like to see this prevented in my case, so I was wondering, what are teh exact numbers I have to email to myself to save my accoutns if they all go bye bye?
Both the code number and the signature that appear for each one in Korrds wonderful account manager. They
will then need to be manually entered back into it when your re-fried comp is re-activated. I have had no
problems doing this in the past when I have transfered my info to use the game on another comp.
Crude but effective ...
The flash drive should have been safe too, though with Virus's luck, that was always a gamble ...

the safest and one i find helped a few rogues was to send your key that you export from the account manager to me and i will save it in the Server back ups on our FTP that way if you lose your PC i can mail you back your key:)
Well unlike virus I think I am lucky I can fully remove freelancer and when I reinstall the game it always gives me the same account ID so I never have to do anything. (though I do keep it on a bit of paper next to my PC)
But sorry to hear you melted again Virus.:haha:

And yes, get rid of IE (stop using it) I had Smithfraud.C infiltrate from one session of IE, took me days to root it out and yesterday I used IETab in Firefox (had to use the IE engine) and guess what? This morning IT REAPPEARED! Through avast! AdAware and SpyBot S&D! (all newest updates). Lucky I intercepted the thing manually.:P
If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor
Export all your accounts from FAM. Go find the file. Go to Email and send yourself an email with ALL the files that were exported as attachments. That way wherever you are, you can access them.
