Junker cap ship: textures 1/2 done. The mid-section stripy bit will look better later on. Trust me. Hopefully. Will dirty up the final textures.
@Vaporlinx: have absorbed some of tutorials and it seems self-illumination textures can be added as separate textures but definitely aren't part of the main texture. So you can add window and engine lights as a texture if you like... It's in Aargh's Lancer Reactor tutorials.
NB: the ship isn't really bent like a banana (it IS bent a little:)), it's the perspective playing visual tricks.
I would change the grill textures that are on the engines, all the engine grills in vanila ships are flat, whereas yours are kinda well thimble shaped.
I cant see from the most recent pictures there, but do you still have some sections of the hull exposed? I remember one of your first pictures having a section that looked like some frame or scaffolding was exposed and thought it looked particularly good for a Junker ship. Make it look like it was damaged horribly somehow and only patched back together with spare parts.
Maybe a little late to change it to something like that so I understand if you don't do it.
The engines are direct copies of Rhineland ships, unmodified - I need to map the textures less obviously.
Not happy with textures: still much to be done. Under a week but I'm not feeling huge amounts of pressure as I'm guessing either a Disco final release or beta 6 will come along very soon - certainly before I can start exporting and debugging the ship.
