I just completed my daily Plutonium run to Pensylvania. On my way through New York I saw a most unusual sight. 2 Outcast Gunships were controlling the Norfolk Westpoint Trade Lane. I was so shocked by this , that I almost failed to take evasive action. Luckily the vessels were preoccupied with other unfortunate traders and I was able to make it back to fort bush.
This on the same day that my brother Commander Mang.Takushi was confronted by 4 pirates on the Sigma 13 trade lanes. Luckily he was aided by the Kusari Navel Forces Destroyer 'Magellen', and the pirates were scattered or killed.
I also heard reports over the comms of an Outcast fleet entering Sigma 19 and engaging without warning, catching many paramiliraty vessels off guard.
We must increase our strength! and fight off these pirate scum!. I will redouble my efforts to make profit for the guild and in future will take more escorts on my trips.
p.s - to add to my strange sightings I have just seen a Bowex Transport in Honshu. This is a Strange day indeed.

I apologize for the late response I have only recently returned to transmission range. I was sent on a mission to scout the Omicron Beta nebula. I went with several dozen probes.
I dispatched each probe to scan a 100,000 kilometer radius. It would then fly in a comprehensive circle and transmit to me a thorough scan of the area. The system is rife with gasses of low to medium value. The radiation in the field is low-yield, and basic Radiation shields would keep all crew safe. However, the abundance of sharp asteroids would make extraction difficult. I could only detect one Outcast base in the system, 'Ruiz', built into one of the asteroids. It's turrets are awkward and erratic, due to the presence of so many asteroids. I have detected a planet, too, 'Elysium', which appears to be a liquid or gas giant.
Ruiz is still a threat, as it is the waystation for several Outcast patrols in the system. Scans detect it can hold anywhere from three to four score fighters and bombers. The asteroids would also make torpedo runs difficult. Acquiring 'Supernova Antimatter Cannons' would be our surest bet to removing the station, due to their speed and line-of-sight capability.
Removing Ruiz and installing our own defenses could, in theory, remove the Outasts long enough to secure the system. The nature of the asteroid field makes their capital ship fleet immobile.
This is the map I recorded. This is the course of action I would take:
I would secure the Sigma-19 jump hole, move a bomber/fighter wing to Ruiz for a total destruction run, and simultaneously dispatch a fighter/bomber wing to secure the Omicron Alpha jump hole. In preparation, we have transports and freighters full of Outpost building materials waiting in Sigma-19. When Ruiz is destroyed and both jump holes secure, the freighters and transports move to the Omicron Alpha jump hole and immediately assemble;
6x Weapons Platforms to be positioned on all sides of the jump hole
1x Outpost rigged with turrets and gas mining capabilities.
This would not only choke off a huge Cardamine smuggling run, but effectively end all Outcast activity in Sigma-19. Logistics to keep the base supplied would be an issue, but this is only a temporary solution, to gain a foothold in Outcast space. The proximity to Omicron Alpha would likely put strain on our defenses, but I have confidence in our success. Elysium is where the gold (metaphorically) is. Orbital scans showed oceans, as well as gasses and an abundance of alien organisms. I had to be constantly moving, however, due to the presence of Outcasts.
I will be out here for another 48 to 72 hours, and then I'll be home. Very much ready for a rest.

Woke up to the sound of the alert alarms and launched into space in response to Outcast fighters in Sigma-13. Ran into a pair of Tridentes on my way to the jump gate and called in the cavalry while I stalled for time. Ended up throwing them 50k in nickels I had stashed in my flight couch. Our bombers chased them into New Tokyo where they became KNF's problem.
We regrouped at the Naha, where an unusually honorable outcast named Kain Legado was challenging Guild pilots to a duel. Being the new guy and all, I had the first go-round. Legado was a slick rattlesnake of a pilot and had a rack of class 10 guns on his Sabre VHF. I held the advantage in maneuverability alone. The duel lasted for 13 nerve-wracking minutes, as we traded blow after blow. Unfortunately I eventually suffered critical thruster damage and drifted into one of my own mines, but I managed to yank the "Happy Rocket Chair" (Kusari-Liberty translations need some work...) handle before my cockpit shattered. I lit my SAR beacon and was scooped up by a passing gas freighter before I froze completely.
Fellow guildsman Sato Sushti engaged the Outcast next, but a sudden spike in ionizing radiation from the nebula blanked his fighter's sensors, and by the time the static cleared the Outcast was gone. Nobody knows if he fled or simply lost his bearings and flew away into the cloud.
I remain impressed by the maneuverability of the Karasu HF, though I still need time to adjust to the Kusarian control layout and finish translating the control labels. I keep reaching for where the trim controls would be on my old Guardian and only turn on the cockpit lights. All things considered I'm pleased with my equipment and training- surviving my first nebula fight with a veteran outcast killer is no mean feat, even if the snake got away.
Pilots involved in this report were myself, Sato Sushti, Kasugai Hatsumi and Mang Arihyoshi.
George Austin out.

Konnichiwa, after a leave of absence I am back in the hot seat, as it were.
My most notable exploits to date are summarised below.
Hogosha Black Dragon VHF destroyed in Sigma-19.
Corsair pirate loitering at Yanagi.
Same Corsair being escorted away by Congress vessels.
Rogue Junker pirate vapourised at the Frankfurt gate.
I would like to submit to High Command that the Junker Congress has shown a willingness to let us deal with rogue elements within our space. This saves us from having to divert patrols to cover Yanagi, or having to call for the assistance of the Rheinland Military. Even the mere mention of the RM was sufficient to motivate the Congress to act!

Re: First Rheinland Delivery Mikuma Maru made her first delivery of Plutonium to Dortmund station today. The crew and I found the journey without mishap yet we were all on pins and needles given the new territory.
Kako offered escort and his presence made our jump points easier to transition. Domo arigato Kako.
Well, it was an eventful patrol. I was told if I do the patrol report, I could get a promotion, so I started by looking for something report-worthy. I found it, in the form of a junker smuggler.
A salvage frigate by the name of .:j:.Egon.Godfrey refused to stop for a scan. So we started chasing it. After following it through the sigma 13 > Frankfurt jump hole, we managed to get a cargo scan. The junker was moving cardimine into Rheinland!
We chased it to a jumphole leading to Hamburg. I followed, jumped through, and fired a cruise disruptor at the junker. Then I realized that I had a torpedo mounted and not a disruptor! So that didn't do anything, and I was given orders to head back, as Hamburg is outside our jurisdiction.
From there, we decided to do a quick patrol of Beta before returning to base. The patrol itself was uneventful, but when we returned though the sigma 19 jumphole, I don't know what happened. My ship started to disintegrate within the jumphole, and by the time I popped out on the other side, my ship fell apart completely and I was forced into the escape pod. Thankfully, my pod was towed back to base safely.

Konnichiwa Captain Stile!
I'm glad to hear from you again! When you arrive at Isehara, please remember to take visual proof of your delivery with a time stamp. Do this, and I'll pay you 5.000.000 Sirius Credits for every full hold you deliver. Repeatable up to ten (10) times.
I hope this will help you to stay away from dealing with the Outcasts and their filthy substance known as Cardamine. As long as you work for us, you'll have no trouble in our space. Good luck!
Konichiwa, I am Kashiwaba Tomoe of the exploration cruiser Hinaichago.
While I was with the TAZ I made a request for a Kaichou as a personal craft.
I am no longer with the TAZ and would like to once again, as an independent Zoner who keeps Freeport One safe in between research missions, to use this craft as a personal strike vessel.
I would also like to, in addition, request to be able to purchase a Karasu - T-493-HF GMG Heavy Fighter.
This would serve both as a personal shuttle for myself, when it is uneconomical to use a larger craft for face to face meetings with scientefic contacts, and as a vessel for the security of Freeport One.
Neither vessel, of course, would ever be used for an unlawful purpose, and would only be used in defense of a Zoner, a member of the guild, or a freeport. I may occasionally assist a member of the Order as they are allies of the Zoners, indeed of all humanity, however the odds of their ever needing my help at a time I am almost present are next to Zero. However as a scientist it is my nature to eliminate all variables.
