Due to increased outcast activity and recently pirating attack by group know as "Union Corse" i advise all ship to be extremly aware if you spot such ships, as they did demanded "bribe" for protection in our fields. Wich is totaly insane since they know to operate in gallia, so i have no understanding how they can claim fields to them. Must be same with outcast as they seem to belive they "own" tau-23 system..
So as usual lot of mining ships to see in fields, transports to proceed ore for further production..
And thankfully almost always is some of our own ships patroling perimeters...

RE: Freeport 4 Reinforcements
Greetins' there!
I's just be contactin' ya long nuff' ta's let cha know, dat the IMG has accepted my ol' application tah be in dah guild, so I's be stationed at duh Freeport Four, cuz you's said you's needed helps.
So, I'lls be a contactin' ya on private comms, so we's can work tahgether out here.
Anyway. The Omicron 80 system seems at first glance to have little military activity within it, and then an Outcast Dreadnought by the name of MNS-Moonlighting appeared, me getting out us out of scanner range just in time.
We proceeded to bluff our way out of being followed by the Arms Dealer, who seemed to be willing to risk his cargo in order to follow us...
Anyway, we moved further into the system, our eyes and scanners searching for bases or other reasons why a Dreadnought would be stationed there. Then the Ion Storms hit. The Directors ship recovered first, and he was attacked by several Sabres and had to flee. When my ship powered up again, we moved off, deciding that with damaged ships, it would be better to postpone the search. I gave the director all regens I had, knowing that it was more important he returned than I did...
Anyhow, as we returned to the Omicron Alpha jump hole, we passed a base, and I got several scans of it:
The data has been forwarded to the R&D office on Java.
That's all for now, except we both managed to return to Tau 23 without further damage or incident.

I have been unable to reach the R&D director as of yet, so I decided... *She checks the clock* 23 minutes ago, to activate the Research and Development fleet.
I am aware that... well... none of you except for guildmaster Hargreaves are aware as to what this is. The R&D fleet was obviously the ships that are controlled by the Research and Development department. Within this fleet, there are 8 Argus battlecruisers, and upon these are placed the latest developments created in our labs. Any weapon tests, or other dangerous research is conducted upon these ships, and the location of these ships is kept a strict secret. The only person with the location of these ships, or a way to contact them is the director or his/her second in command.
My second in command was Mink Whipperwill, who as you may remember went missing. I myself was kidnapped before I could pass the location codes onto the new director. The scientists who worked on these ships had no idea where they were, they were taken to and from them in shuttles that were programmed by myself.
You may wonder why we kept these 8 Battlecruisers silent and hidden. The reason was because the ships were never needed. To keep them active was an expensive draw, and if we left them deactivated they would be vulnerable to attack. Thus the secrecy.
The gunboats and fighters/bombers that were part of the fleet were not with these battlecruisers, I feel it is worth mentioning.
As I said, I pinged the ships... 25 minutes ago now, and received 3 responses. The first was a confirmation that the ships had received my signal. The second signal confirmed that they had not moved places.
The third said that they had been boarded.
Someone, or several someones, has boarded and possibly has control over the 8 most advanced Argus's in Sirius. Sirs, I need to take a team to reclaim the ships immediately, but as a journeyman I have no power and the Research and Development director is missing. I need someones permission to launch a mission to retake control of the ships, and my thought is to fly them to the Tau 39 system, keep them near to Jakarta for the time being.
There is also a slightly more serious point, that of the Artemis... it is only half constructed, but is incredibly deadly. We had not finished her when I had left, so her half built hull is still out there...
*Syana stops and sighs for a moment*
Again, I need to explain. The Artemis, named after the ancient greek god of hunting, was a damaged old hull the R&D department bought in secret from the Colonials for a rather large price. She's a Zephyr sirs, not yet complete. We thought that with the appearance of Gallia, we would need a hidden fleet as our... secret card to play.
Only Hargreaves knew this, but now all of you do... again, please, let me go and retrieve those ships. They have not yet moved position, but who knows how long that will last.
..I thought you said that these ships would be completely safe! The point defense "unpenetrable", the security "unbreakable", and now 8 Arguses and a half restored Zephyr with experimental weaponry has been boarded?? God almighty this better be a false alarm.
I'm assigning the Comoros and Pathfinder to the fleet moving to the coordinates you've provided to me. You'd better hope they haven't accessed the weapons systems - I've seen the percentage of R&D budget you've sunk into those ships - I'd hate to see the damage they can cause on the prototype Comoros and standard outfit Pathfinder..
Syana's breath came short as she stood on the bridge of the Comoros. She remembered when she had sat in that chair, flying it out of the dock it had been created in. So long ago... so many memories between then and now.
She looked at Hargreaves sat in the chair, perfectly composed. She admired him for that, always in control of the situation, despite the fact that they were possibly flying to their doom.
Masterson had sent 4 Argus's and a squadron of Pythos bombers with them, but Syana knew that wouldn't be enough if the R&D fleet was captured by the enemy. The Artermis had prototype antimatter weaponry that could cut through shields like a hot knife through butter. Granted, it could only fire a couple of those shots before running out of power, but if properly aimed, the Artemis could hit the Comoros's and the Pathfinder's reactor cores, setting off secondary explosions that would rip the two ships to pieces.
The Argus's too were armed with high speed flak cannons and razors that would rip the Pythos's to pieces before they got a chance to fight back.
She looked out the window, knowing they were drawing close. One of those Argus's was her old ship, the Trailblazer. How she missed that ship. With a roar the Comoros dropped out of Cruise speed, and a bright spotlight shot out from the front of the ship. Both Hargreaves and Syana leant forwards, looking out the wide window.
They waited while the spotlights worked, looking for the ships. After a couple of minutes, Syana held up a hand.
"Left!" she cried.
The man controlling the light nodded once, swinging the glow over to the left, and then... there. An incredible sight, 8 Argus's and the Artemis, mostly completed, sitting there in space.
Hargreaves waved his hand, and a man ran from the bridge, heading towards the hangar bays. A minute later freighters were en route to the ships.
Three minutes later they were on the communications.
"Sir! We're at the airlock and we can't get in without a code..."
Hargreaves looked at Syana, who nodded, tight lipped, and hit the communications button.
"This is Syana, hold the communicator to the door."
She waited a second as her order was carried out.
"Authorization code Syana-9-9-Red-Gamma-2, open."
A pause.
"The door is opening ma'am."
Hargreaves nodded.
"Proceed."
A second later, they heard gunfire.
"Looks like some random mercenaries sir, they're unorganized and won't last long."
On the viewscreen, they saw a small gunboat curve away from the station airlock, apparently the mercenaries ship. Hargreaves raised his hand again, and the tactical officer turned to his console. A razor shot, and a few volleys of the primary cannons left the gunboat exploding, and the bridge crew returned to listening to the communications.
A few minutes later the 9 ships started to break away from the station they were connected to. As the R&D fleet fell into formation, the station behind them self destructed, and with a small smile, Syana watched as they set a course for Jakarta. Everything was well.

Made my first full-circuit run today as an IMG trader. It was fairly short: Mining Machinery from Kensington to Friestadt, and cobalt back to New London. It's a short trip, but a fairly nice rate: approx 170/sec both ways.

Displaying message from Capt. Toni Brag:
As of last couple of days i have been delivering water and and oxygen to make sure Java and Falkland stations do not run low on these, since population is increasing on both it seems. Furthermore very pleased that my convoy did not encounter any pirates on route, so all ships are quite in good shape.
So since this was one very good week i shall transfer some credits to support our defense lines....
This is Moliere, got something interesting for ya, boss.
My old contacts in the fleet are once again paying off, just yesterday got word from my man on the 41st task force sent to Kansas. The expedition is there as part of some deal with the locals, that's not really relevant here... What is relevant - they've discovered a rich deposit of Iridium in the system. My contact didn't get into geological specifics, but seemed like the field might be worth a survey effort. He also mentioned, that the field is already being exploited on a limited basis by private miners - mostly poor and under-equipped, lacking coordination... There are also some Independent miners from the Magellan Freeport - according to my contact's judgment, the Freeport has drifted away from the guild's core to such a degree, that they seemed reluctant to recognize our central authority! Now sure, I do admit I'm not exactly the oldest and most influential knuckle-dragger on the deck, but in my humble opinion, secession from the guild isn't what we should just accept. I'd advise sending someone new... and more loyal to govern the Freeport. When that's done, we could go to Kansas and exploit the Iridium, seizing or scaring away all competition.

Found a nice route today. Max Bemis and I ran niobium from Falkland to Baltimore Shipyard in New York. On Manhattan, I happened to make a good deal with a supplier of lux consumer goods - we can be one of his main transporters to Kusari. We took full loads of lux consumer goods to New Tokyo, where we offloaded and purchased mining machinery to take back to Falkland.
Here are the numbers:
Niobium, Falkland -> Balt SY: 1889 profit/unit
Lux Cons Goods, Manhattan -> New Tokyo: 1131 profit/unit
Mining Mach, New Tokyo -> Falkland: 769 profit/unit
In all, it was a 40-45 minute run, with a total profit on my Atlas of 15,450,960. Not a bad route.
IMG|Sasa.Col[M] and IMG|Volkov.Chajkowski[D] have been placed under arrest, and most likely will be sent to BPA Newgate, pending further investigation. They are no longer considered members of the Independent Miners Guild.
I can't go into much detail here, but they have endangered the lives of many innocent civilians by using un-authorized equipment aboard their vessels. We're still not sure how they got this equipment, maybe I need to talk to the Research and Development Division about this...
Sasa's transport ships, IMG|Pedia[T] and IMG|Titanic[T], as well as his Raven's Talon, IMG|Globs[D] have been de-commissioned, as well as IMG|Volkov.Chajkowski[D]'s Nyx and we're disassembling them now and will likely sell the scrap to the Junkers, if their interested.
If you or anyone you know is associated with their crimes, you had better speak up now, or you will likely suffer the same fate, if not worse.
