Gunboat is pretty bad for escorting, you can't defend a ship in something slow and brick-like. And I've already pointed out some time ago that trader ships could use more armor HP. Transport armor upgrades?

Any upgrades work on a transport. It's their choice to not use it.

15mil? average? 15 mil in cargo maybe, but deduct the buying cost. And if you know 15mil average route? Let us all know. That way the admin's can nerf it like mining runs. I ma ashamed to admit i was OPG with you,and now know why it died.
Actually mining makes 50mil per hour at least.
15mil of pure profit on full trade run (back and forth) is easily achievable, route is just bit longer.
Why would I share them when I know that only reason that mining got nerfed is because people complained about being pirated too often.
As for why OPG died, yeah... It sure died because we had what? nothing to plunder? Meh. Either way, I call em as I see them. You can still powermine your way to a battleship in 24 hours.
In rp you should be left with nothing, and be happy to be left alive.
But game fairness and pleasent expierence is what matters the most here. (I think most peeps will agree that we have a lot of not nice stuff in rl which is not always fun)
Just a note, it is not "tax" it's robbery. Pirates are not government, we're thieves plain and simple.
Now if you're hauling gold ore expect me to rob you for 10 million if I can't sell it, because I'm not robbing just you, I'm robbing you're entire crew, given a 5k transport makes 80 million from a full load, 10 million is a small price to pay.
Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.

I believe he is also referring to most pirates going "Tax3m", of which I get every day. I mean, Tax3m isn't even a word.
Of course, pirates SHOULD be plain and simple thieves, however most people don't seem to get that message.
As Del pointed out, IT IS NOT TAX, that is an outdated throwback to servers circa 2003-4.
It is armed robbery, demanding money with menace, mugging, plain simple daylight thievery, call it whatever
you like ... It ain't taxing, never has been, never will be.
Some say he is a proud member of: "The most paranoid group of people in the Community."
I point at you and call you a shrubbery. This does not, in fact, have any bearing on the accuracy of categorizing you in Kingdom Plantae. (No offense intended to any radishes, carrots, or other assorted vegetables playing here.)
Likewise, saying "this jumphole has a 2 million credit tax on it" rather than "I'm mugging you for 2 million credits" has no bearing on whether or not you're being robbed. The fact that your personal property is being requested, at gunpoint, outside of legal parameters does.
