Alliances come and fall, all that in-RP, influenced mostly by the playerbase.
As for me, an intergalactic unity against Gallia or some other assaulting house would take the chance from most of the local conflicts we do face now. For example, if the Navy, Military, Hessians and Corsairs would unite against one faction, the hostility RP and the variative warfare would be diminished.
An intergalactic two-sided war would spoil all these cheesy little conflicts, imo.
It depends in that case.
A giant two-sided war can be fantastic if it has evolved from other RP like those little conflicts.
The aftermath of said conflict can be even more fun too.
Actually, the Nomads are extinct. It's an Order conspiraceh!

You're partly correct. There are a few things you should keep in mind though:
-We have 3 factions worth of nomads (Wilde, AI, and the Keepers), so in any major engagement if we worked together we would outnumber most groups on the server. Luckily for you guys, we dont often work together =P
-Nomads in sirius are not the only nomads that exist, there are also Sol nomads and several other groups outside of Sirius, and backup can be (and has been) brought in from those groups.
-We have willing humans fighting for us in every house, even without being infected. Most people just have no idea who these individuals are until it's too late.
-We're master manipulators, as was seen in the original campaign. Some of the wars raging throughout sirius right now might not have begun the way you think =)

We are getting stronger, though. Since vanilla and our 'defeat' at the dyson sphere, nomad numbers have increased throughout the omicrons, and we've got the wilde and iseijin as full fledged factions with their own space and bases now - and that's just the start.
Quote:Nomads, much like the natives of americas, will eventually die out to colonization and imperialism.
Hah, you're a funny one, y'know that?
The nomads arent blue smurfs or natives wearing loincloths and shooting bows and arrows, we're far more technologically advanced than humans at this point - human ego just gets in the way of that realization.
No, they don't. 4.83 peace, 4.84 Bretonia and Kusari!? And for the sole reason of raising activity. It's taken very long time to balance this mod, giving every faction it's spunk and razz so that nobody feels left out. You stirr up another Nomad armada set on a conquest capaign, your surely going to recieve plenty of complaints. Changing this mod you'l find is very hard to do nowadays, Gallia went through hundreds of stages of trials and questioning (i imagine) before finally being added to the mod. If you want this to happen then you need to get behind it and push like hell, a simple thread wont suffice.
I currently stand in the middle ground. The way i see it, it will make the mod a bit more interesting, and put the universe a bit closer to the original Freelancer plot and direction. However i forsee everyone getting tired of fighting the same enemy all the time. How will this effect the Nomad-Outcast religious relationship? What about the A.D.M.I.N.S. roleplay, and what will the Phantoms have to say?
Just a few things you need to consider intra-communitywise. There's thousands of variables to consider.

That depends whether you use game mechanics or roleplay as your source.
In roleplay, the nomads are pretty much dead. Their forces were already too weak to take over Sirius in Freelancer. They had to resort to espionage and cause internal choas among Houses before they could openly strike and even then, they were defeated by a few outlaw factions.
In Discovery they have returned with more advanced ships, but look at the roleplaying background. Nomads need land to thrive on, 99% of it has been taken. They need artifacts to learn from, Corsairs have dug it all out and sold it. They need cardimine in order to nurish their young. Guess who sniffed it all out? Nomads have to resort to guarrila warfare and are currently repelled by the Order -- a tiny naval force that is simultaniously fighting a war with BHG.
By comparison, the Liberty Navy is probably a hundred times more powerful than the Order and by that logic could easily overwhelm what's left of the Nomads. The question is: do they need the barely habitable worlds of the remaining alien systems?
