If there were to be an outcast gunboat, it shouldn't have anything to do with the Dromedary. The outcasts wouldn't design a gunboat based on a freighter, and I think they'd much prefer their own design than using a civilian one.
As Dab said, they don't need a GB. The destroyer is agile enough for them.
the outcast have alot of good stuf, incl trade routes ( 2 manny good stuf imho ).
So, adding annother GB? that would be unnesecary, agreed with zeppos and dab.
If you attack a trader with a destroyer you get fined, because you are going against the server rules.
Piracy is very low in the server because of that: no ship above a gunboat can attack traders, and most of the traders are with large trains or container transports that have such strong shields and armor that no fighter can do too much damage against them (except perhaps a bomber armed with a nova and a CD, but some people can start flames about pirates using any of the current bomber models). Thus the need for a gunboat for outcasts and hessians.
Do some of you remember when the dragons were using kusari gunboats? Lots of flames. Now they have their own gunboat, and you dont see dragons flying kusari gunboats anymore. Same thing for outcasts and hessians. They need to have their own gunboats to be able to do piracy without flames.

Not true, F wolf.
Its easy to take down a large trains shield and hull with yust a figther and fury.
( tested it, some trader once kept shooting at my BSG char when we did an xfer. it was the last thing he did, he allsow flew a large train, armor n all the toys on it, realy, np )
Milkshape can read .DXF and other common data formats - you must export the model in 3Ds to Milkshape using some such format then use the FL exporter. Tutorial available via TLR's forums .
There is no other known way to get models into FL.

I want a gunboat for the Outcasts!!! In fact, I want 5 diferrent models of gunboats for the Outcasts. In fact, the Outcasts should have 5 bombers too. Of course, 4 Torp mounts and the armor of a battleship are paramount and maneuverability of the Eagle how could I forget that. Yes, give that to the Hessians too.

Why does everyone need a bomber/gunboat/cruiser/frigate/battleship?
If you can't get a trader in a fighter, bring a friend with you! That's why this is multiplayer! and not singleplayer against NPCs.
If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor

Perfect! *Writes that down for future AW ship research ideas*
And now to actually post something of importance..
F_Wolf, you are completely wrong about the piracy is down right now right now because the pirates are busy attacking the lawfuls. People are just funding their pirates with trains. Not many follow the "get'em set up, then they're on their own" policy.
If you think Train armor is what is stopping piracy, than my GC and Wraith are gods I guess.. Seem to remember taking out about 4 or 5 trains in two days, about 4 hours of playing, with a Sabre and Eagle. No Novas, no Nuc mines. Just good old fashioned laser weapons and cruise disrupters. The trains were helpless, not some ultra-powerful trading god.. Ask McNeo, I got him the first day he got back. (And boy did it feel refreshing, seeing as how it was his fast day back.:PAnd that it was the first time I had pirated in awhile.)
Trains are about perfect where they are. Enough firepower and armor to hold off a pirate long enough to try and get some help elsewhere, but unable to completely stop them. This is called balance, and its quite good for the transports right now. Lets not go screw it up.
I actually like the Idea of a Outcast GB. The Corsairs have one dont they? The Outcasts need more ships, Simple as that. If we were using logic here the Outcasts would want to keep up with the technology of the Corsairs. They would do anything to get a GB.
Super did you just ignore the last 6-7 posts made here? Everyone says that every faction having a GB/Cruiser/BS/Fighter is a bad idea. Outcasts have a MkII Light Fighter, Battleship, Cruiser, VHF, and a special torpedo (Inferno). I think thats plenty. No need for more ships. Please go reread Nightfall's post, if you read it in the first place. If not, go read it before you post.
