Did another shift today and helped three new members. One was totally new and needed to know how to make money so I set them up with rhino and taught them to mine. Another needed to know how to join factions and the last one was just setting up a code business. I had a lot of fun today witnessing heaps of great RP and meeting great new people. Along with some old hands.
Did another shift and helped a new person out with a meta gaming problem, had a person contact me about credits and some trade routes. A pretty productive day but it's still very quiet out there.
EDIT: seems a lot more has happened, I've broken up a cap gank squad, helped the most polite and patient person ever start off in this game and assisted a person looking for a merc ID.
Did about an hour on water angel. Helped someone from another mod who had only done SP disco. Explained a lot of mechanics to him as well as server rules.
Talked to a player who had been stopped from delivering military vehicles to the nagasaki by a BAF ID. Explained the politics behind it.
Talked to another player about ID's and what would be best for his character.
That's pretty much it, all in all about an hour's worth.
did a shift, helped a person with information on how to get his account back after reinstalling freelancer, confirmed someones questions that angels are not admins, told a lot of people to use private chat to talk oorp, got shot down by a new player
i was online for this shift about about 30-60 minutes, i really didn't coun't:Pi know it was more then 30 minutes but less then a hour
** sorry that this is in a rant format, i don't have much time right now >.<
Did about two and a half hours on water angel tonight. Helped around 5 or 6 people with various things, trading, mining, jumpholes, rules, ships... yeah, thinks that's everything.
I was only on for fifteen minutes as I was only logging in the various characters that need to be and I helped a person understand that he will get his characters back if he enters he code upon uninstalling and then re-installing freelancer again. I also received a 2mil donation.
Did a little shift after getting hold of Seth's Angel and helped a nice person understand the Phantoms. Wasn't on to long as I have to go and have tea.
I've not been good with my logs for a couple of months or so. Rest assured that hours have been put in on my part, to help new players and offer advice to all.
Todays shift;
Helped Sky/\/et decide which trader ID to get.
Gave advice to Aroncio.Xanthia on locations of Outcast missions, and on Outcast RP. Advised use of the /restart command, and gave advice on how to decide which Outcast clan to join.
Gave advice to Meder on which liner was best for his roleplay.
Gave advice to Kvist on what kind of Ping was within acceptable tolerance, gave reassurance on server connectivity/stability, and gave advice on how to get started.
Assisted Kvist with purchase of a Rhino, and set him on course as a young helium-miner. Provided guidance on how to RP as a civillian trader/miner, and gave advice on how to achieve his ultimate goals of being a Rhineland pirate.
The Great Way has no gate. A thousand paths lead to it. Pass through the barrier and you walk the universe alone.
Clocked a few shifts over the past week, mostly in New York. Got a few people started on some of the basic commands and tips about /restart. I haven't moved much throughout most of my time answering odd questions about RP, PvP and Sevrer Rules through Private Chats. No mini-championships this time around but I like to squeeze em in where possible.
