While sat in my fighter in command of our forces, an informant contacted me from Rheinland. There was a lone cruiser out on manoeuvres in New Berlin. I ordered our flight group to scramble their bombers and we headed out.
Myself, Secretary Johny Leroy and Agent Scott Robinson, managed to get all the way to New Berlin undetected. We scouted the whole system and found nothing of interest, I gave the order to return home when we struck lucky. The Cruiser was right infront of us near Dortmund Station, by this time however she had a Gunboat escort.
The Gunboat was more of a threat to us so we quickly eliminated it before turning our guns on the cruiser. It took a few hits until it somehow managed to dock on Dortmund. With our target gone, we headed back for Liberty. Unfortunately the [RM] intercepted us, an engagement ensued and my ship took a critical hit to the engine core. I managed to eject but not before calling for aid from the Navy. It was the notorious Gold Squadron.
I watched the whole fight from my pod, lucky for me the Military were too busy with our friends in the Navy and Robinson and Leroy to think about taking me prisoner. Gold Squadron are very efficient I must say, Leroy got the killing blow on the Cruiser that re-entered the fray after it docked previously. The raid was a big success and the Military now have one less cruiser and gunboat. My pod was beamed aboard one of the Gold's ships after the battle and took me to Manhattan. That is all.

Subject: Kansas
Mister Leroy,
The installation and wrecks found in the Kansas systems are indeed intriguing. There is quite a lot of mystery surrounding Kansas, a system charted only very recently. I will try to do an intensive search through our data files to find something about this station wreck. Maybe we could stumble onto something worthwhile for us but I am in doubt.
The most interesting part in your report is of course the Nomad installations. Firstly, it is stunning to see such a damaged gate still working... Human equivalent gates are a thousand times more fragile to damage. Plus, the Nomad gate still left you at the right spot, no deviation from its main destination. I do believe this gate should be intensively studied. Some of the information gathered could be sent to Ageira Headquarters. It could give us a cutting edge in space exploration.
As for the system it leads to, this is rather astonishing! I would have never expected such place so close to Liberty. However, I recall very few nomad reported in this region of Sirius. It is very plausible that these installation are currently abandoned, but I wouldn't take any chance myself. This station you've photographed from afar has quite a distinct shape and could still be housing nomads...waiting for the right moment to strike at us again. Again, it needs to be investigated further by the R&D.
You've also photographed weird objects that share similarities with our trade lanes. Perhaps they have the same purpose. Further scan of those weird objects could reveal more. As for the jump hole. I doubt it is inactive. Maybe it is connected to the nomad core world. If this is the case, then we are in serious danger.
We shall organize a squadron to escort some R&D members so they can investigate the system and what's going on in there. However, because of the radiation, exposure will have to be limited and kept to minimum. That would mean only a few hours... unless we decide to set up an installation...but this is not an option at the moment.

Note: This transmission contains data from multiple vessels. As such, gun camera settings may differ. Data from different sources is marked as so.
After doing my final checks of my Liberator, I departed from West Point Military Academy and immediately linked up with agent Eridan Landal. He informed me that his ship had less than 15 minutes of fuel left, so I decided to patrol the first leg of Texas with Landal, and stopping at Houston to allow him to refuel and rest. The run from West Point to Houston was fairly quiet, and agent Landal was relieved of his patrol slot with enough fuel to make a safe landing.
After setting course back for the New York system, I picked up a partial, garbled, system-wide transmission apparently regarding a trade vessel being stopped. Through the static, I managed to pick up 'Stop....(unintelligible)....your....(unintelligible)....scrap metal for scanning.....'. Based on the strength of this transmission, I plotted its origin to be approximately 40 kilometers from the New York Jump Gate. I redirected to this trade lane, and found a Falcata-class Outcast bomber, designation 'UFO' telling a trade vessel to go on. After the pirate was finished with the trader, he turned his attention to me. A transcript of the conversation follows. Communications
The pirate attempted, rather foolishly, to tax me. Obviously refusing, the ship emitted a strange sound, then began charging weapons. I immediately engaged. Engaging - UFO
The heavy, slow bomber-class vessel had a very difficult time hitting my agile fighter with anything other than mines. I decided to stay on the defensive until the pilot's mine supply ran out. Eventually, he fired his last mine and I began attacking. The ship was rendered unflyable within 5 minutes. During this engagement, I routed all power to shields and weapons, which accidentally switched my heavy gun camera off.
After my victory, I contacted Johny Leroy, and began making my way to West Point to meet with him. Supervisor Mike Edwards also was making his way to us.
After Leroy, Edwards and myself met, Leroy set course for the Omicron Delta system, telling us that we were heading on a reconnaissance mission. After an uneventful flight through Alaska and Omicron Minor, we arrived in Omicron Delta. There I began constantly running my gun camera. The first thing I noticed about the system was the strange 'tunnel' the system appeared to be in. Omicron Delta Tunnel
From Omicron Delta, we proceeded to Omicron Iota. After a brief conversation regarding our procedures within the system, we entered. Following is another shot of the jump hole to this mysterious system, also demonstrating the 'tunnel', which I assume to be a simple optical illusion. Omicron Iota Jump Hole
After jumping, my scanner immediately showed a massive signature little more than a kilometer from my location, and my shields began showing effective fire. I managed to take one good photograph of the signature before going evasive. Omicron Iota - Weapon Platform?
After assembling in formation, the three of us proceeded on heading 167, torwards a large nebula. Behind us, a large planet was clearly visible. Omicron Iota - Planet
This nebula was unlike anything I, or any of the group, had ever seen. Rather than dust, the nebula's composition seemed more consistent with energy buildup. There were also asteroids that seemed to be composed of fairly normal rock. Nebula - Composition Nebula - Rocks
Mid flight into the nebula, we intercepted a system-wide transmission from a ship which had blinked on our scanners in Omicron Delta. Following is a shot from Edwards' older, lower resolution gun camera showing the name and transmission of the vessel. Omicron Iota - Unknown Vessel Transmission (Edwards)
Deeper inside the field, we encountered smaller rocks, which at first seemed to be made of water or a hydrocarbon-like material, but when hit by weapon fire, exploded in a remarkably similar fashion to those in the Badlands in New York. Rocks - Hit by Gunfire
Well within the field, we discovered several strange, very large objects. They were not consistent with weapon platforms, jump gates, or any other known Nomad installations. They also flashed a strange, triangular pattern, visible from very far away. These objects seem consistent with the trade lane-like objects found not long ago in the Kansas system by an earlier patrol into that system Unknown - Possible Trade Lane
Even further into the asteroid field, we discovered a sudden change of scenery. The rock field abruptly ended, and a massive field of strange objects began. Nobody had encountered these objects before. Nebula - Unknown Asteroids
After a large explosion was heard, it was extremely clear that these objects were mines. Based on their spacing, it is likely that this minefield is designed to stop large ships and not the nimble fighters we were flying. I also acquired a brief reading of what the scanner's wireframe showed as possibly being a planet. We decided not to investigate. Minefield - Unknown Large Object
We encountered a Zoner Fearless-class Destroyer flying torwards us at a high rate of speed, which confirmed the suspicions that the circular objects were, in fact, trade lanes. The vessel was carrying Nomad brains, and as a result, there is a very high probability that this vessel has been infested by Nomads. The ship was also carrying Order weaponry, and was asking us questions about why we were here, answered with a predictable 'Classified'. This vessel caused us to leave before our investigation was complete, and possibly compromised the security of our intelligence operation. Fearless - Operational Inquiry (Edwards) Fearless - Cargo Hold Fearless - Weapon Loadout

Right, I don't know how many times I've told countless Navy officers. But this is the last straw. The following are ships of the Gunboat class that keep ending up in Bretonian space, no matter how many times we engage and destroy them. Sick and tired of these vessels, you don't see Bretonian reservists heading into Liberty, why are Navy vessels coming here, and why the hell are they arrogant and ignorant enough to keep coming back no matter how many times they're destroyed?
I have a source that tells me the K.C._Cavaliere is the Cerberus Normandy.
Deal with it, not tomorrow, not in the future. Now. Or Liberty will continue losing important technology that you can be using to fight the war with Rheinland.
Haven't been able to make a bloody Armed Forces After Action report because I've been stuck on this damn ship taking out the trash for days now, my paper work is piling up, and I have a wife and kids that I need to help move from Leeds to New London, and to do that, I need to get off this damn ship.
It took me some time get a new cover (including papers, etc.). Once everything was ready unfortunately I was not been able to leave the station for days. Nobody got clearance for take off, they said it was some sort of electrophysical phenomen in space.
I tried to use this time to do additional studies in the neural net and also talked to old stagers in the bar. All this information suggested that there are only two Rheinland shipyards (excluding civilian facilities).
One of these (Oder Shipyard near the New Berlin planet) I had already examined. The other one (Alster Shipyard in the Hamburg system) I had already passed before, but not examined yet.
So I decided to make a route from New York to the Stuttgart system, taking some passengers with me. I chose to take the route via the Hudson system and had to notice that no one controlled my cargo on my way to Alster Shipyard.
Alster Shipyard is located between Planet Hamburg and the jumpgate to New Berlin. Location of Alster Shipyard
When I arrived there I visited the ship dealer. I noticed that they sold Rheinland Gunboats, Cruisers und Battleships. The ship dealer gave me the impression that he would sell such ships also to me if I'd have enough funds.
The ship dealer also told me the most important facts about these ships (well, this information probably is not really confidential). Alster Ship Dealer
I then continued my route to Planet Baden Baden. As far as I could see, only two Rheinland Military tagged ships were active at that time, both in the New Berlin system. The two were Major General Gunter Rall and Hauptgefreiter Leon Fischer. I passed Leon Fischer when entering the New Berlin system, he was flying a Wraith fighter.
The rest of the trip was uneventful.
Please in form me in case you need further intelligence on Rheinland.

Subject: Alaska - Patrol report
To whom of right,
A few minutes ago, I entered the Mount Illiamna command room to initiate a routine system patrol in Alaska. Somehow, it seems like the last person who used the ship left tons of papers on my desk. So as a general notice to anyone who has access to it: CLEAN YOUR MESS! ((//RP only, like a joke)).
Now on a more important business. Ship left the mooring points of Grise Fjord at 1340 and headed toward the Alaska Jump hole. The later seems quite stable and readings indicate it to stay this way for the next few years. Once in Alaska, we soon set course for Planet Wrangell. Main plans were to orbit it for a few minutes. Est. 2 minutes after entering orbit, a trade ship entered our scanning range. It wasn't carrying any cargo according to our sensor, but we presumed the ship to come from the Jump gate. How he received the codes to enter the system is still a total mystery. Nevertheless, here is the communication transcript:
At the present moment, units are still searching the area for the life pod of the ship captain. Nothing indicates that it was destroyed with the ship. As for the information he presumably leaked, I have contacted the department of Internal Affairs to remove any sensible information from the Neural-Net system.

Greetings Boss
So that's where my journal is. I thought I lost it when I was back in my office on Alert Station. I hope you haven't read it, as there is a lot of personal things written down. As for the trader, someone must be selling the codes either from the Navy or one of our own. I recommend a full investigation. That is all.
