For the last couple of weeks the "LPI" has been coming off as a bunch of whiney, angsty, Q_Q'ers standing atop some ivory pedestal of long suffering. Frankly I imagine some people will rage quit by the end of this thread because you're "not understood".
We're all very sick and tired of hearing the words "LPI Challenge".
This isn't a new perception. But now it's in every other thread on the forum.
You have a few people out there, your Tena's, who don't give a damn about such things. You caught him smuggling so he's going to flame you every chance he gets because he's a moron.
So in reply you launch a campaign which is, frankly, alienating. You tell people to putup or shutup on the internet and they're mostly just going to think you're a dork.
No campaign to adjust public perspective is well served by ranting.
The Molly/Order/etc/etc/etc groups didn't get by because no one cared. I can assure you the conversations on the subjects have been many. Oh look the Mollies are committing faction suicide -again-. Oh look the Order is going to get shot in the face by the Corsairs. Oh look the BAF/Outcasts are formalizing their derp. They got by because they didn't start threads stating it's happening so you might as well just shut up and suck it down... Actually as soon as someone did say that, Dab, by waving his wang at Discovery and shouting nyah nyah nyah he was bent over a barrel and spanked. Then I posted a touchdown picture. But I digress.
The way that you guys have brought your concepts to the table for conceptual LPI reform has been clumsy, rude, aggravating and insulting. The perception that we wrought from your words isn't our fault when the lapse in communication can be identified on your end by multiple parties. As we're seeing here.
Next time you're going to try and swing public perception around, a public perception which you played not only an unfortunate hand in shaping in its opposing form for the first chapters of the LPI's life (fining people for broken lights much chief?) but which also plays a critical role in the essence of an entire house's collective persona... Do so a touch more carefully, yeah?
Maybe, I dunno, employ a carefully crafted series of babysteps to introduce the idea of a growing effort to clean shop through the LPI. Maybe even something about specific forces. Differentiating between the space corps and the ground pounders.
Lastly... If any of your members are ignant remind them to not attempt to invalidate my argument by shouting LPI Challenge at me.
Dusty, that quote is taken out of context by you and wasn't said by Zach in the first place. Zeltak said that on Skype TO Zach.
Also, forging alliances on Skype is annoying, since everyone can't Q_Q and flame and b&m over it.
Zach tried to do something constructive and innovative by actually involving the community in the process.
I somehow don't see that being used again though.

A lot of what he says is still true though, and again, I told Zach that line after he initially told me that my story was "bullshi*" and "meta-gaming" without even reading everything. Yes this might seem to some as a "no u" contest but I want to make this perfectly clear, as to why I responded in the same manner of which I initially was received in.
Call it childish, call it "just because he do it, I will as well." I do not care, but what I care about is when you mention my name, and you do so without telling the whole truth, then I will step in.
Now on that matter, I'm already over it. And again, I wasn't the one bringing all this stuff up.
