It's just become a spam fest for capwhores.
And the Gallic Battleships have better stats, better guns and a CapVIIIs.
It also matters who flies the ship. From what I've seen, both sides had good and bad pilots.
I ninja-solo'd a Valor with my Kusari Battleship.
Believe or not,I sneaked in Orkney and shot him down while the four valors flying around didn't noticed me.
Then I got owned.Brutally owned.
Also, it seems that only Akura got the point. It's not about ganking, it's about the fact that out of the 40 people online, 35 are caps, which even considering the RP background, is pretty retarded.

Too late its down for good now
also that was fun even at the end
I lol'd at the KNF raging and swearing at the end
Server is down now D:
Also thread is gonna lock. server wont be up again.
The Space Battleship Yamato took down three cruisers and seven battleships for the loss of three.
No /kill command can change the fact that we whooped some major Gallic butt. Gallia might've had the numbers to push through, but if this ratio held true for everyone then they'd better think twice before pushing into Bretonia.
Congratulations on participating in the first combat of the Tau Invasion by Gallic forces. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and thus there was a great victory achieved by the Gallic forces in Tau 31, them having pushed the KNF back and out of Tau-23.
Remember that this event took (or takes, depending on your perspective of time) between 4.85 and 4.86, so when 4.86 DOES come out, there will have been many changes in the maps, ownership of stations, etc. As for continuing right now still in 4.85 - just pretend like you don't know that the future has already been written and the destiny has to be fulfilled, and play normally.
(Which means good luck to all those guys doing mining in Tau-31...)
As additional information gets released, we plan on staging other battles that take place between the mods that are simply too big to handle on the main server.
