GRN Bomber npcs saved me from a council cruiser patrol
Just less bomber npcs?
also i like farming gallic transports cause they have stuff on them like wine
I think NPCs have more advantages than disadvantages. They fill up the empty space, can be profitted from. But they add stress to the server which, fortunately, is minimised now since the server upgrade. Right now is just how people complain about they get ganked hard by NPC's when they expect to be shooted at in hostile territory.

NPCs add stress to me. I just hate being rammed, CD'd and shot at every minute.
NPC's add a bit of realism, somewhat. Sure, it's "unrealistic" that one pilot kills over nine thousand others, but if you see perhaps one pilot in the entire system it gets kinda weird too. Plus, Pilot looting.
Moving OSI's barge when the player count was low was impossible due to being CD'd and tumbled around like it was in a dryer.
I like seeing them, but not in the number/force they are now. They interrupt my RP with actual players more than they immerse me. I can imagine they are there even when they aren't. I can't magically imagine them to not be there when they are ruining RP with another player.
Either make them weak or tone back the sheer number of them; but don't remove then entirely.
I think a better solution to keeping the NPCs, but making them less intrusive, would be to disable their use of bats and bots. They'd be just as deadly, however, be a lot easier to kill if they happen to get in your way when you're trying to PvP or RP.
