So, as I already said, there are some nice moments.
But the fun ended with all those Osiris and then all those Solaris-Caps.
First I was on my own Osiris, the ORD|CV-Itzamna, that was when the BHG even camped Toledo, so - it was fair. At the beginning at least. Then we pushed them back to FP 11, camped there and stuff...
I had to leave the fight for some time and returned as BHG-Little.Fish, BHG-Medium.Fish and BHG-Big.Fish. So, I switched to the losing side, the Osiris spam was bad, but we had some chances to kick the Orders behind.
When the Nomads were thrown in, the few BHG vessels decided to "ally" with the Order, since I thought they would have Marduks I thought it wouldn't be that bad - but, they had no Marduks. Don't know what happened with the big nomadspam, because I had to go afk.
But when I returned the nomads were the "losing side".
I jumped in as NOM-Iana'Cy and we even managed to get to Toledo once with some insane Irra spam.
So, what's there to say?
I saw every side, I fought mostly on the losing ones, and I was really disappointed seeing all that Osirisspam.
To compare it with the KNF-GRN Event:
The GRN and the KNF had both "heavy" Battleships, Makos and Osiris are both light BS. The KNF had their "overpowered" cruisers, but I think the BHG cruisers aren't "much better" - still cruisers didn't find much use here.
Why? Because the Osiris is extremly agile. I didn't think that ship would be that good, but - it is. So, the cruiser spam in the KNF-GRN Event was countered by bomberspam. Ever tried to counter a Solaris-Osiris with bombers?!
What's different in the fights? The fights in the KNF-GRN Event moved from Orkney to Tau-31 several times, the big battleships were crippled because of the (Tau-23) asteroid field(s). If the sides would've been stuck because of JG camping, there was another way to get to Tau-31 by using Tau-29.
In this event the fight focuses on a much smaller area. It's all about Toledo-Delta/MinorJH-FP11 and later the Iota/DeltaJH.
So, let's see...one thing is, everyone is able to change their loadouts very quickly by going to Kappa/O-100. The asteroids made the heavy BS (KNF/GRN) easy targets for cruisers/bombers, while there no "real" asteroid field around the Delta->MinorJH and the light BS are much more agile. ...
Mh...anyway, too many Osiris, insane anti-fighter loadouts on BS and unfair fights took much fun of the event.
I would give the KNF-GRN Event a 7.5/10 and this event for the moment a 5.5/10 (10 being the best, 1 the worst). But, that's mostly because of the players...Stop lulwutting and get some sense for fairness, guys. ._.

Couldn't agree more. I was on my cameraship when that Irra spam destroyed everything in Delta. I logged onto my Osiris 15 minutes later (After uploading my SS) to find 5 Osiris, about 4 Gebs, a couple Makos and some other caps. And no Nomads. -.-
I managed to convince half of them to remain at the Minor Jumphole, allowing the fleet that assaulted Iota a chance to be destroyed. Which they were, after a lengthy period.
After that, I helped counter another large irra spam - Not nearly as large as I had screenshotted and then switched to nomad, only to find even MORE cap ships. x_x sigh.
Having an odd number of factions that have no alliances between them whatsoever is not a good combination when you're looking for a fair fight.
Order vs. Hunters vs. Nomads
Order + Hunters vs. Nomads
Order vs. Hunters + Nomads
Order + Nomads vs. Hunters
And in terms of player count, it always ends up being about 2/3 vs. 1/3, or just a fustercluck of everyone on the server. Next event, I want to see an even number of factions so it's more of a 2v2 rather than a battle royale.
EDIT: It was easier and more fun when it was Hunters vs. Order, because then we'd just plow each other back and forth through Delta and Minor, and we actually had FLEETS. Since the server population is divided among three factions, you get one group with all fighters and bombers, one with a gunboat spam, and the third with pile of capital ships, because they're all going in circles trying to even the playing field for the other two groups.

I was the pilot of the BHG-Longsword. I have been playing for about 6-8 hours on that character today and had a blast.
The BHG and the Order teamed up with a ceasefire to go after the nomads. After a while, players started to leave and things died down. I was still in game with a few Order pilots and I was almost the only BHG pilot there. The 77th elites (BHG) came over and waited with us by the minor JH. After a while, something happened and they attacked the order players, breaking the ceasefire. I rped that I didn't find this right, so I worked with the Order, giving sitrep and information on the 77th fleet. The order began to trust me and let me into the fleet. I followed the 77th around giving information and finally went to minor to resupply.
Once we were all ready, the Order fleet flew into Delta and began its fight with the BHG, me on the Order side. It was a blast having the battle, and I thank the Order fleet on the Event server for the fun.
Notes;
1: Yes, I was using a Mako
2: I did annoy a few people with the friendly fire, but I hope they will not get too annoyed because of the RP.
3: Just because you have the biggest ship doesn't mean you have to fly around killing everyone. I was feeding information to the Order and not fighting for a good 2 hours and still had fun.
4: Thank you admins for putting up the event server.

The Admins need to rephack you to the side of the Order.

My favorite part so far was ambushing the Order fleet and breaking the alliance as [77th]Crucible. We had organization on our side. Nomading was also fun in my OmNomad bomber. We've been using the Murduk as a bats/bots shed to great effect.
About the Spam and such: It wasn't horrible. I was on the BHG when we were being swarmed, but what do you expect? The Order ships look cooler anyway, and had a bigger part in Vanilla, so people gravitated toward them. I generally have been trying to get on the outnumbered side and it's been fun to hit-and-run and outsmart the bigger fish. Dodging around a Order and BHG fleet with my nommy bomber and two wingmen was awesome. Solarises weren't the end of the world either, just attack with caps.
' Wrote:Actually, the coolest ship available was the Mako, in my opinion.
I might be shot for that, but...
I like the way the Mako looks, but I like the Order ships more.

Yes
' Wrote:DONT ban the marduk... I think that the nomads deserve ONE marduk. And they even got it themselves... I think one should stay.
Also, the [77th] Did a awesome ambush on the Order... Though it goes with RP, so cool. And it will possibly become a real faction, with is more awesomeness.
EDIT:Marduk was just killed by the 77th, only one is no problem.
Yeah. Idk.. I only said in that chat lets make a BHG lot called 77th.. then we made it

I Commanded some of the indies at first.. They listened for 6 hours... At the last hour = too much lulzing around

Well done to the order who just lured us succesfully into a very nice trap.

indeed.
That was prob the best part apart from the irra spam.. Aka nomad Wave 1, 4 and 6. That was so darn fun.

The Order ambush was the most fun I've had during the whole event. It broke the monotony of the Nomad wave tactics and shook things up a bit. Huge kudos to you guys and everyone involved. I was [77th]Busted.Flush, by the way.
