Pulled another shift and nothing happened. I stopped a little bit of dirty talk and OOC in Penn. After broadcasting my services I got no reply so after a while I left.
I am not an official [Angel] - but I try my best to help newbies or low rank players to make good start, Usualy I use my Handlowiec char, but someone could know my as Najemnik.
My help usualy is bases on a litle amount of money for start - from 300k to even 1M, depends what money I can give or what someone need.
I try to ansfer as many quesions as posible, but basicaly people ask "how to mine" "where to mine" or "what is most viable to mine".
Maybe one day I will become an frue [Angel] - but still I must learn lot of things.
:yahoo:Good on you Anomander. Your doing a great service to this community. And thanks to all of those people who are not angels but still help regardless. If only more were like you.
I witnessed some swearing in system chat and got on my angel to deal with it. Once I got on and had finished doing that I answered two questions for a player about wrecks and something I can't remember. I also answered a question on mining and on IFF's.
Advised people not to engage in OOC or OoRP chatter and advised people not to profane. Answered a /pimpship question. Advised people their ID was not compatible with their ship.
Dealt with someone accidentally firing on me. Engaged in a discussion about pressure, optical phenomenon and thermal inversion.
A shift yesterday, and the day before. I'm not one for memory so I couldn't name you half the folk i'd lent a hand to. But spent most of the time in New York helping out long distance problems to do with the server, hooks and rules clarification. Also gave out a few hints to people looking for places that aren't so easy to find. Kudos to Preying.Osprey for his donation of 10 million credits, it's greatly appreciated and it's going to good use.
Yesterday's shift went well, the usual. Started a shift today but cut it short to begin a venture of mine into the trading industry. I've decided to invest some of my personal funding/earnings into starting up a small independent trading company. I want to pull some of the new players' heads out of the helium cloud and show them there's always other ways to earn money. The company will be privatley owned and funded personally (donations are greatly appreciated).
Needless to say the company won't sap any donated funding from the Angels unless specifically requested by donators. Neither will it hold any claims to Angel neutrality.
If anyone would be interested in helping or signing up with the company feel free to PM me through the forums. My Skype ID is ashtrix.
So I started my shift logging in the bank and receiving four million credits from the Joker and seven million credits from [|]-B-Hitoyoshi. I'd like to take the time to thanks these marvelous people for their stellar donation. It will be well spent. I ended the shift cutting circles on my regular angel char around the biodome of the station next to Erie. In the middle however I answered a question on putting a mining turret on a freighter. I also gave advice to a new person on where to mine and where to go next.
Also, nice work there Nooblet and Ash. Keep up the good shifts.
I can't stay away. How many days is it now? Four? Five? Five. Good shift today. Headed back to the land called home, alright, pennsylvania, but it was good. Helped a number of people with a few rule violations. Something about an IMG Battlechruiser killing without talking and entering New York yadda yadda yadda. Bottom line was there was no screenshots so no action. Spent the rest of my time keeping an eye on Pennsylvania and tuning the system chat back into roleplay if it turned too much into an open market.
Big thanks to [color=#FFFFFF]Dajia_De'Lacriox who donated 15 million credits and became my latest top donor. Spent a good while chatting to him about the Angels, the server and alot of things. He's got his head screwed on straight and a definite potential Angel in time. I recommended he applied next time some spaces opened up, and I hope he considers becoming part of the team.
