I find that uncloaked admins in-game disrupts gameplay. People drop whatever RP they had going to have a look at the admin guns, perhaps a go at the admin shield too. And with all the flashing effects when cloaking and uncloaking etc. it sort of leaves an RP void when the admin disappears again.
Just trust that they will be there when you need them - which they almost always are when large-scale battles take place and so on - and do lots of screenies and use the forum. I don't see any problems in the way the situation currently is.
Edit: Also more admins in-game would mean that they would get tormented by ridiculous questions that could be easily answered on the forum, as well as in-game reporting of violations without the reporters having to address which specific rule was broken.
I quit in order to honor an ultimatum I gave Cannon concerning some critical changes that I felt needed to be handled internally that were not carried through with.
Though it happened anyways about 10 months later, didn't really feel that there was any great desire on my part to try and jump back onto the frustration train.
Lately the Admins and Mods seem to be taken more of an interest in sanctions, being in game and being more helpful in a general sense. I like it. Even going so far as to apologise when they made a mistake with a specific sanction. Which takes a bit of honestly and modesty. If they are looking for some more Admins, I hope they choose those up for the task.

Thank you for your support. In the event that happens, I won't let you down but I will sanction you if you do something against the rules. Thank you very much.

The difference between poor choices for admins and a choice on par with sticking one's wang into a toaster in order to fish out a fish hook is subtle, yet poignant, and entirely applicable to the quoted post.
Eh, come on... I'm not that bad. I'm always objective when it comes to important stuff and taking decisions that benefit <strike>me</strike> the community.
EDIT: Besides, Joe would clearly support me, right, Joe?
I believe the current strength of the admin team is sufficient to perform such tasks as they do currently, provided a portion of them does not go inactive.
If we want to add more admin-related functions (RP organization, events, stuff like that), we'd probably need an additional admin or two.
