RE: Thanks for rescuing me !
Dear members of the guild,
After the assault reported by Captain Ian Desari, I managed to go back to Java station with the help of my two fellows Zed and Ian.
I just suffered some minor injuries but my nyx has been totally destroyed by the Outcast cruiser turrets.
After a two days recovery at Java station I have been reassigned to the bomber squad and I am in charge of a brand new Pytho. My co-pilot is a rookie in the IMG Defense Squad and we are assigned to stay in Tau 23 to train and to improve my pilot skills with the Pytho bomber.
Once again, thanks you Ian and Zed for rescuing me and congratulation for the exceptional bravery you have shown when fighting an outcast cruiser and 2 Tridente gunships.
Dear Guild Members, As you might have observed ,
our Communication network has been unavailable for the last space cycles.
Hopefully, it did not endanger our operations.
On the other Hand, All data cumulated since the last log were either lost of damaged.
To avoid unfortunate and/or inaccurate informations , I have decided to delete my most recent captain logs.
Since all the system are operational, My data-share is resumed.

RE: Unknown device and suspicion of viral infection and spy activities in Tau 23
Dear members of the guild,
I need to report the strangest events I witnessed yesterday in Tau 23.
As usual, I was on duty to patrol Tau 23 and protect our miners in the fields. With Defense Pilot Ian Desari we tried to intercept a transport ship that was suspected of smuggling cardamine. The vessel managed to land on Cali and I had to go back to Java while being chased by several outcast fighters.
Back to Java we met 2 CR pilots from the 44th. Cloud and Blue. Since Cloud was the superior officer he decided to split our group for a most effective patrol of the sector in order to intercept suspected smuggling activities going on.
Cloud and Ian headed to Tau 44 while Blue, a young cadet and I were assigned the Tau 29 sector.
Blue and I were scanning the sector in Tau 29 when suddenly Blue reported some dysfunction of his navigation system. We had to go back to Java station in order to repair his Nyx. On our way back, we encountered in Tau 23 the strangest thing I had ever seen in my life. Our radars detected some sort of ship, some kind of drone moving very fast. Its aspect was astonishing; it was organic with some blue glowing jelly all around the flying object. The object didn't answer any of our calls.
The unknown object didn't show any hostile behavior but when Cadet Blue tried to scan him, he lost the control of his fighter. I could say he lost control of himself somehow, talking strange and not responding to our calls. A second unknown flying object joined the first one. They didn't shoot at us during the all event. With the help of CR folks, who came to reinforce our group, and after a reboot of his nav system, Blue managed to go back to Java. In the meantime, I tried to chase the unknown objects which started moving away but I lost them close to Tau 29 jump hole.
I had to go back to Java and report this encounter while Blue was escorted to the medical department for some analysis.
Later the same day, I took off from Java and met 2 IMG employees from the Mining department outside of the station. The unknown objects were back. They were standing still at around 3k of distance from the station. I immediately contacted Java and advised the other IMG vessels not to scan the objects, since I suspect these things are some kind of devices that affect electronics through scanning frequencies. Twice, the objects came close to Java, flying around us but not shooting. Since my superiors were not answering my calls, I took the decision to open fire on one of those things and see its reaction, but the object was moving so fast I didn't manage to touch it with my bomber turret.
All of a sudden, cadet Blue took off from Java and immediately went to their direction. I cannot report exactly what happened after that cause I had a terrible headache for about 5min. My eye sight was blurry and my arms were tense. But I remember that the objects were gone once I pulled myself together.
IMG Pilot named Zed met us close to Java a few minutes after. I started to investigate around the area trying to gather some information from all the witnesses.
A ship with a Maltese id joined us and said that it had some important information on these *squids*, as one of our IMG folk called them. But the hostile only wanted to share this information with Blue when he saw how suspicious I was. Zed and I followed them to Tau 29. We kept our distances and I updated Zed on the events that took place earlier. Then, I understood a conversation between Blue and the hostile about spirits or souls linked to us and other kind of crap. I'm not the religious kind of guy and I have come to suspect these glowing objects are a new generation of weapon controlled by another faction probably planning an attack.
Zed and I grew suspicious when Blue refused to share his intel with us. We thought maybe he was a spy somehow infected by the device, and we asked him gently to dock in Java, pretending that the medical department needed to check him again.
He refused to comply. Something was going on here. Blue was getting nervous so Zed and I activated our guns to board Blue's Nyx. Blue refused to dock and headed to Tau 44 with his cruise engines on. Zed followed him closely while I was firing 2 cruise disruptors but it was too far to reach Blue's ship.
We all jumped to Tau 44 and headed to Sulawesi. Zed tried to contact the CR station to report the situation, without success. Blue managed to dock.
Zed and I had to fly back to Java to report this major incident and inform the HQ about a probable threat.
In order to avoid any contamination or risk of breach in our intel and since he is suspected of spying and being somehow mind controlled by the enemy, Blue is not allowed to dock in Java station until further notice from IMG HQ.
CR authorities need to watch carefully Blue and take him into custody if he acts strangely.
We hope to have more information from the investigation going on.
I need some rest. I still have this sensation of a headache.
After I visited my old colonial buddies, I went back to Java and I found Zed. He told me he had a problem with another contractor. The guy took his niobium ore without paying. Zed continued to mine and while I was guarding him, I sent some messages to the man that took his ore. I informed him that if he won't return the ore in 24 hours, he will be added to the black list. When Zed finished mining, he realized that no one took his ore and it was only a calculation error of the cargo bay. The man that was involved will be informed and I will apologize for the Guild.
Seeing that there were no pirates or Outcasts, I decided to take my miner and fill some transports. When I finished, we had a nice little convoy: IMG|Mark.Williams[T], IMG|Big.Mamma[T] and =CR=Varsovia[ISE]. All three ships with the same destination, New Berlin. We used the Kusari-Sigmas route and it was a all clear. On the way back, I stopped in Frankfurt and the colonial took a different route so, our convoy ended his existence. That would be all.

RE: Conclusion of the investigation
Dear members of the guild,
After the strange events that occurred these last days in Tau 23, the department of investigation from the R&D Division has come to the following conclusion:
The unknown devices spotted flying close to Java Station in Tau 23 appear to be alien ships. These creatures, called Nomads, are the remnant forces of the Nomad fleets in Sirius that survived the events of the Nomad War.
Most of these aliens are considered as extremely dangerous and should be killed on sight. However, the last events brought us to the conclusion that some of these nomads, mainly the youngest, are not bellicose. It appears that their curiosity encourages them to approach the human race without aggressive intentions.
Still, their presence in the Taus may constitute a threat for several reasons. Our Scientists have come to this conclusion with the help of several testimonies collected during the investigation.
Nomads seem to have the ability to control minds of the weakest people.
To all pilots in the Taus, you are strongly advised to consult a medic if you feel depressed, anxious or if you suffer from headache. Avoid contact with the aliens under any circumstances.
If you have experienced the sensation of floating in deep space, contact immediately the IMG R&D Division.
You can find below elements of the testimony from a victim how experienced an encounter with the aliens. Regards to Witness Protection Procedure, the names of the interviewed people cannot be revealed.
In conclusion of the investigation, charges pending on the Cadet Pilot from CR 44th Fleet have been dropped. Cadet Blue constitutes no threat to the IMG civilian population. Clearance to dock at Java Station has been granted to the young Pilot.

RE: Report of the encounter with an unidentified alien vessel
As requested I am sending my report from the encounter with the unidentified alien vessel in which I have been involved.
1. Name and vessel type ' Jessica Ferres, Nyx Fightercraft
2. Area of operation ' Tau 23, Kyushu
3. Ships escorted ' Carsten.Miller
4. Hostiles encountered ' Unidentified Alien Vessel
5. Casualties on both sides ' None (except some hardware on sides of IMG)
After entering Tau-23 from Kyushu via the jump hole on my duty to escort the miner Carsten.Miller, I encountered an unidentified vessel on scanners. I approached and could see that it was purple and unlike anything that I have ever seen.
Upon approaching further and scanning the vessel to assess if it was dangerous, I suddenly had what I later learned was an hallucination. I found myself floating in space and suffocating. Upon the end of this devastating experience, I found myself in my cockpit again, which I had never left. I could set the autopilot to the nearest jump hole and then passed out, I presume.
My own memory of everything following is still a little foggy, but according to others, I was then found drifting on the other side of the Kyushu jump hole and brought to Java station were I was brought to medbay with amnesia.
I eventually regained my memory however, thanks to the aid of the pilot from the Carsten.Miller and another IMG employee who flew a craft called 'Cobalt'.
My craft was examined and repaired, it was apparently suffering from malfunction at its sensory systems from scanning the alien vessel. The affected systems were removed and destroyed to be safe before a new set of sensory systems were installed, as I was told.
I am adding the medical report and the hangar crew report as well since additional information was requested by one pilot Bill.Fenders.

Patient found barely conscious in a Nyx fighter craft. Physically unharmed, except minor irritation of the lungs.
Suffered from temporary amnesia and disorientation.
Was under survey in medbay until patient regained her memory by the help of two IMG pilots.
Now ready for duty again.
Relevant Notes
Patient was found after an incident involving encounters with unidentified alien ships near Java station. She appeared to have suffered from hallucination during her flight to Java station which caused her to set course for Kyushu jump hole, she was found drifting on the other side. Once brought to Java station the patient was barely conscious and showed symptoms of CO2 poisoning but was otherwise uninjured. The disorientation, which we at first believed a side effect of the CO2 poisoning was actually connected to an amnesia which was presumably caused by communication with the unidentified alien vessel. We believe that the hallucination was also caused by this.
Status update:
After the patient regained her memory, she spoke of the hallucination. It occurred when she came closer to the alien vessel to scan it and then suddenly found herself floating in space and suffocating, while (unbeknownst to her in that moment) she was still in her fighter craft. This would explain the CO2 poisoning and the irritation of the lungs, if the breathing had been unknowingly stopped, the amnesia was presumably caused by the trauma of the hallucinated near-death experience.
Status update:
As of now, the patient regained her memory and showed no signs of affliction or extraordinary symptoms or behaviour. The patient's health has recovered to normal and she is fit for duty in space.

IMG Nyx fightercraft - Technical Review
Fighter craft was landed in the hangar bay, after presumably an encounter with an unidentified alien vessel.
There was no evident damage to the hull. Engines, shielding and weapons were fully functional.
The sensory array, while not having sustained damage was malfunctioning and inoperable, as well as the targeting scanners. Both had to be exchanged and new hardware installed.
Main computer core, ejection system and life support were fully functional and did not show signs of affliction or malfunction. But to be safe, a complete software purge and reinstall was made, before the new sensory hardware was installed.
Craft is now fully functional again and ready for operation.
Relevant Notes:
The sensory systems were mostly inoperable but we did retrieve some scrambled guncam evidence before we purged and destroyed the hardware in question. It is added to this report.

If anyone still has questions, I am usually at Java station or in the near vicinity.
Not sure about you, boss, but looks to me somebody's gone to sleep while a lot of willing new miners await. Simply put, applications are piling up and there doesn't seem to be anyone willing and/or able to review them. For now it's just a handful, but the longer we wait the more discouraged those people are gonna get. And that's BAD for business. I'm not sure what the directors are up to recently and am aware, that I ain't big enough to act as a director, but nevertheless I hope you won't mind me taking the little liberty of making sure we don't ruddy die from understaffing. If any of those new guys screw up - you can bash me all you want, but doing nothing at this point is not an option as far as I can see.

John Sanders, second crewmate of the Carsten Miller reporting for a very ticked off chief Erynel. He wishes to inform you that this has been the "third bloody time" that he had his entire cargo confiscated by Junkers this week, not far from Java base. He politely requests that the IMGG, and if willing, our CR allies, would assist in, as he so colorfully puts it... "burn the freckers from the Tau 31 skies".
Personally, I agree with his view. There are no scrapfields out in the Tau fields. The only reasons for junkers in this area are bad ones: Supplying the Outcast base nearby, no doubt, or to steal from the miners. My personal recommendation would be to bar the lot of them from the system, like the plague they are on Sirius. They are little more then pirates in disguise, so why treat them any different?
Incidentally, who -is- in charge of the local miners guild? It would be good to know the command structure, albeit loose as it is.

I will answer the Question of Carsten.Miller since hes a regular employee doing good duty for our great guild.
Tau 23 , and the taus in general is a dangerous place, everyday we faces threat from jealous entity ,consider the outcasts, the junkers and even freelancers. We are more then busy to hold a security area around Java and Farkland as well as our guard system.
To be honest we cover an immense territory that match the size of house space. We do have skilled and experienced combat squads, limited however. That been said I can provide you the code to our secured communication network connected to our Head quarter. There you can count on vessels ready for departure for mining area security, escort and even interception.
I can say that with our glorious plan with a growing number of workers, tau 23 will soon be an area to avoid for casual bandits. We never attack them, we wishes peace among space, among houses, but we can't control will.
The manager or the guild (on taus side) are mostly on a survey project and too far for the communication equipment available. If you want to talk with a veteran, I suggest you ask for ''Outlaw Star'' , in charge of trading and the Omega sector.
Second message
Well we had several combat situation this cycle, But we also did great work especially concerning our ''project''
I have uploaded a log concerning the events. We had some injured members but nothing too dramatic. The outcasts ( yes it is them AGAIN) did not survived...
I really hope that one day they will learn from their mistake from attacking a peaceful organization that only defend their possessions. Cardamine is a terrible substance leading ''humans'' to become mindless hunters.
