Model is awesome, it resembles the Raven's Talon a lot, which it should.

About the texture, did you ever consider making the top half of the ship's main body darker and the lower one lighter (like on your LABC model earlier today).Use the same textures though, they're good.

nah - its a low poly model - the rounder shapes just look rounder cause of the texture ( they are 8 sided cylinders only ) - usually computers, even the cheaper ones can deal with a multitude of that - so unless you run freelancer on a 800mhz duron, you shouldn t have any trouble anyway... and if do you run freelancer on such a machine...... you ll be in trouble, no matter what.

Not that I don't like the current talon and neither do I like the model of Jinx.
That doesn't mean it's made nicely but not my taste.

And I don't really care about which model will be replaced first.

Anyway my vote is to replace the current talon with something similar but then more freelancer'ish

I'm in for it being a successor, for sure. It's a nice design that could replace the RT model, but the Homeworld imports are just plain ghastly and need to be replaced.

Yeah, another Star Wars import. It's just less obvious than the RT.

As for the RT itself, don't make a Mk II plus the current one, just replace the import.

One thing I always see people here judge about is "That ship doesn't/does look freelancerish."

If it's from another game, it isn't freelancerish, so why bother importing it? x)

Remove it, and add something more unique that isn't from a TV series, or another game.
