'Begging' with two gunboats and a bomber (or sth like that), with trade lane disrupted and warning shots is not begging. I don't think a beggar a someone with superior firepower who will kill you if you don't give him whatever he wants.
' Wrote:Greetings,
Uhm - so you prefer to be pirated with /setmsg gimmemoneyordieyougot30sec ?
Well i prefer to have some inividual Roleplay, a different approach on each one.
No. Let me quote my first post from the topic I do always try to run when someone - no matter who - starts with "halt!", "stop!" or something like that. If he does not take the effort to use at least two words, I assume he is lolwut and does not deserve any money.
It is about the _first_ words that I hear from a pirate - in that case the pirate in question can as well have some pre-defined longer message. I doubt if shoting "stop!" at every craft is more individual approach than using one of the ten pre-defined messages. And think of the opportunities - you can use an eloquent description of what you do if he doesn't cooperate, kind of signature threat.
It is also quite helpful for lawful characters. A policeman probably has a procedure imposed, so it helps a lot when he can do /t1 to summon the "This is Rheinland Police. Cut your engines and prepare for a cargo scan."
' Wrote:Uhm.... - so is it in-character for most pirates to make you stop (for example by yelling "stop") instead of telling you that you will be pirated soon, giving you a reason to flee in first place.
C'mon, if any trader see a hostile IFF, unlawful faction tag, armed to teeth craft and a trade lane disrupted, he doesn't need to be told what is going on.
Sorry for pointing the obvious - if neither your big guns nor cruise disruptor can stop a fleeing trader, good one-liner to start with could make a huge difference. Trader stops because you make him want to stop - either by threatening display of power or by RP-promising talk, sometimes by both of them. Never by none of them, rarely by the former only.
well everbody say do it roleplay...well how much would you take /give if you can loose you life.....i think all of cargo is still alright....or the money for all of cargo
because normaly your captain will never undock that ship
I was just pooping through a tradelane when a corsiar gb popped out of no where and said 'Money' and then open fired, then about 3 tradelanes down he shouted on system comm 'stop'. Now how is that role-play, if a pirate acts like this, they should be shot by there own kind...
As for taking everything, nah, its just sad, its a game yes, but there is no real point in taking everything from ne person,
If it was me,
500K per 1000 cargo,
500K+ per more than 2 per item cargo
2.5mil per 1000 ore
fair isnt it?

These people deserve to be sanctioned under 0.0.
Agreed
