I had it very little, if any lag, apart from when Dimitri was killed. It was red there, and something must have been interfering, but apart from that, no lag whatsoever.
It was a great fight, I really enjoyed it. Even if I had been killed, it would have been a great fight.
I hated every minute of the fight. Firing to a ship just to discover that you were shooting at something that wasn't there, and then found your shields drained and your hull damaged is not really fun.
I'm going to have a little chat with my ISP tomorrow... Again. For I've been checking, and it seems that my problem is partly because of the connection.

I notice massive teleporting whenever I fight in big battles. Perhap's it's my rock-solid 15 megabit/second connection :<. If it is, the problem should go away in a few weeks when I move back into my dorm. If it persists, can safely say something is odd with the server!
Btw Sonja, I stopped using torps so don't expect me to go killing myself next time:D

That is my average ping, since i have a 512k connection now (thanks to an error on the side of my ISP, who gave me the wrong speed).

That's some intense lag korrd... I'm surprised you can play at all, I doubt I would be able to.
You need a good strong fiber optic capable ISP; however, in Argentina I'm not sure there are many (if any) around. I'm sure there are ISP folks that offer 10-15mbit lines with a high upload (pref. 1+mbit). Those types of lines are usually monitored often and kept in good condition, so your ping might still not be all that great (after all, you live far from the server); however, it will be steady.
I'm used to have a high ping. I played most of my time here with pings between 190 and 350 on average. I've even designed my defense / attack manoeuvres to take advantage of it, and try to compensate with ordnance. But now, having 700+ on average, no matter what I do I can't fight too well against an experienced pilot. It also kills the fun on the battle as I think I jump all across the screen too...
It begun when I changed the ISP. At first it was "wow, 100ms less of latency. Great", but now it begun to worsen. I have to talk with these guys to see what the problem is, but im having trouble communicating with the support. Phone always busy. I guess i'm not the only one with trouble..

This is possibly a contributing factor to why I did quite well in that battle...even on a puny 1mb connection.
Korrd, those are disturbing numbers, two figures in the 200's, one in the 600's and one over a second. Now I know why you want to kick your ISP in the teeth, and I don't blame you.
Support is just as bad in Britain, Korrd. For instance, I live very very close to a major internet hub (I can see the business centre of this city through my window). However, even though we were supposed to be getting an upgrade from 1 mb to 8 mb, it turns out they can't because of "priorities elsewhere". They even advertised it in their contract.
Everyone wants to go to their ISP's front door with a shotgun.
