Our tradingcompany is always trying to sell things on the open market in the right way.
At least we try to put the minimum of background information in our advertisements.
But if other sellers dont it does not really bother us.
However if they do it's nicer, and a lot of them do so that's cool.
Maybe an idea to pin a message with the minimum requirements for advertising on Open Market.
Who you are (this can be a fake character that doesn't actually exist), who you're selling your stuff to, and location, all put into RP context.
That said, we moderators aren't stupid, nor are we ultra-strict. We won't go nazi on everything we see. But if you want to be on the safe side, try to make sure you have the above-three items in your post.
"Who" can be "everyone" if it's open-sale, like an armoury selling codes to lawfuls and unlawfuls. The bare essentials would be who you are, and where you're selling your goods.
' Wrote:I am curious to know, if all sales of such equipment is to be strictly in RP.....You cannot do inter faction deals.
Example in point- You cannot be a Corsair wanting to dispose off your ship and sell it to say, an outcast buyer, because that's not RP.......
Generally it's against the rules for an Outcast to use a Corsair's ship. Making the situation irrelevant.. Same goes for guns.
Also, you can always transfer the goods to another character that isn't hostile to the target audience and use that. People use armories for that, so that they can sell to anyone.
considering setting up a new character is OORP, how and why should i role play for money... please explain that to me.
i want oorp, for sombody to be kind enough to give me money OORP, that i would pay back OORP so i can set up a new character TO RP with, im not RP'ing for money because there is no way to RP for money that would be funded by a government anyway.
Then do it on a part of the board that isn't roleplay. Considering I made this notice quite some time ago, and the Open Market has been in-RP for much much longer, you knew full well that it was part of the roleplaying forums, yet you posted an out-of-roleplay post anyway.
Hope you don't mind me asking Dab, since this is your thread....what exactly, is an inRP post, and an OORP post? Yes, this has been discussed many, many times before, yet there is no clear....answer.
