Unfortunate tho those events were. I am honestly just saying, gee guys wasn't last time enough?
Dab brought forth some decent ideas.
Heck everyone has. Perhaps I am afraid of change? Regarding the indi Zoners. Hey I've always had your back. We all began in the same place, yes? I can't speak for them, let them speak. It's a forum. As far as where this is going... hopefully toward a reasonable conclusion.

Yes, I was reminded. My apologies for dropping the ball on that one.

I get pirated too as do many of us. Some pirates leave us be, some don't. In whatever case, I pay them and we part ways. A smart Zoner knows that the Zoner ID is NOT a "get out of piracy free" card.

Heh. Right.
Well, on topic, I like leaving the Zoner ID and Zoner Guard ID as is.
Would I like a few modifications here and there? Yes.
Do I want to put up with the "SRP caps lol111!!", "in vanilla, I ate cheese and zoners flew droms", "remove 5k powertradersz", et cetera, in order to do so? Not really.

There's a good few people in this community who preach about controlling your emotions in game and on the forums, some of them weren't practicing it last week, seems their breaking point was reached, all a bit sad really.
Alright, here's a suggestion. The Zoner Guard ID needs to be simplified to include all non-House bases (GMG, IMG, unlawfuls, semi-lawfuls, etc).
I know that Dab excluded the Junkers from the list because the base in New London provides some "OORP" trading opportunities. **Shrugs** So what if one day the GMG base in Okinawa gets a profitable trade route that's "OORP" for Zoners? Are we going to change the ID card again?
Keep it consistant. Either Zoners can land on all non-House bases in House territory or they can't land on any.

If your Zoners always RP'd, and always paid the pirate, and didn't do anything the other factions are angry at Zoners for, then contact those factions that are having issues with the Zoners and see if you can strike a personal deal, such as being exempt from the current hostilities in return for something. I have a small, simple Dromedary. I've been given docking permissions on Crete, and immunity from Corsair attacks (though not immune to piracy if not taking goods to Corsair stations), and all I had to do for this was contact the Corsairs, speak to them politely, and make a few food, human organs, and pharmaceutical runs to Crete. Heck, there was even a potential battle at FP9 just after I did that.. I ended up sitting inside a formation of 12 Corsairs, some of them large warships and very trigger happy, yet wasn't in the least bit of danger. The 14 Zoners at FP9 were very much in danger. Why? Because I spoke with the Corsairs, tried to placate them, rather an insult or antagonize them like many of the Zoners at the Freeport were doing at the time.

I excluded Junkers initially more for Rochester than for Trafalgar. (Rochester is the one in NY.) The reason is because before the ZGuard changes, there were massive amounts of Zoner Whales taking Artifacts/Cardamine straight to Manhattan. Rochester paid almost as much and the distance difference was negligible. If Junkers had been left on there, Arti/Cardi runs to Manhattan would've changed to Arti/Cardi runs to Rochester, and nothing would've changed. In the new proposal for a merged ID, I readded the Junkers as a place permissible to dock, and it'll be up to the OC and house police/militaries to stop the Zoners from doing it. However, I'm still fully against adding unlawful bases in house space as a place for Zoners to dock. This will lead us to everyone using Zoner Guard ID'd Whales for smuggling routes that should be using Junker, Pirate, Outcast, Corsair, and Smuggler IDs. This means massive amounts of Cardi/Arti smuggling Zoners.
As for the GMG base in Okinawa, since taking goods to/from it is fully in-RP for Zoners considering the Zoner's lore and the GMG's lore, that's a really bad example. GMG base in an independent system is nowhere near the same as Junker bases in house space. Nor is taking lawful goods (H-fuel/Plutonium) from a corporation's base in an independent system anywhere near the same as taking contraband to/from a semi-unlawful base in a house's capital system.
