This is my Story:
It all began when a group of refugees were leaving Bretonia due to the war with Kusari. They didnt know it was a trap. They were caught in Tau-29 but fortunately there was a group of lane hackers that fought to save them, in hopes of a profit or perhaps new recruits. The Lane Hackers succesfully defended the refugees from Kusari forces. The lane hackers where heading to home. On their voyage to Baffin the stopped at Coronado. Here they left the refugees to fend for themselves. The refugees were left with Pharmaceuticals. They came to the conclusion to see these and managed to fetch a decent price for them. Many of the refugees became drunks, drinking themselves to death. But a few, such as me, sought out a cause to fight for. Whilst either drinking or searching, a group of criminals infiltrated the refugees, stealing their money from under their noses. The drunks became homeless and the seekers became desperate. Fortunately I came across this poster, and now I write this application to you, Uncle Pete.
Er, we welcome you to our community! My beloved Uncle could not respond due to..... mental health reasons. But I'm sure if he could, he'd say "Oh yus yus yus" and produce several smells from his body. A talent of his I'm not gifted with! Where am I going with this.... I don't even know. We will send a ship to your broadcasting location imediately to take you to our home, Slum City. I will even personally welcome you aboard! If I can remember where the docking points are.... Lots of love, Smudgery.
Character Name: Scott.Scot born in Liberty, Planet Houston.
Named so because his mother couldn't bear to remember who his father was or so she told him, in truth, she had been ridden more than the village bicycle and hadn't the smallest of clues who his father was. She was sure he was a criminal though as all the men in her life had been criminals and after all, she liked thugs and deviants, drug smugglers, murderers and cutthroats. She loved the thrill such intoxication brought to her life. She also couldn't string more than a few words together worth a damn and remembering surnames isn't as important as surviving the thug life. However, the thug life has its own cons; an early death, life in prison, slavery and much, much worse. Luckily for Scott's mum, Death's grim scythe visited her before the worst could come to pass.
The Beginnings
Scott.Scot was beaten as a boy, all the boys (and girls) were bigger and stronger than him and bullied him constantly, almost to the point of insanity and then beyond. This didn't destroy Scott though, this made him stronger, more aware, more in tune with how cruel life can be. He made it his mission in life to understand how the illogicalities of life's ups and downs could mold a person. Therefore, to understand and become that life that he was destined to live, he would have to toughen up and be able to put down the thugs and bullies his life thus far had entailed. He came to the conclusion that prison was the only place to learn such skills. How to get there was obviously a problem for a person such as Scott Scot. He would have to do the unthinkable and put someone out of their misery. His choices were plentiful though, the girl that turned him down for the "All Deviants and Thugs" dance, the boy who kept stealing his lunch money, the cafeteria lady who kept giving him that ten day old food with maggots in it or all the different men who visited his mother's trailer at night, the list was nearly endless, it knew no bounds. In the end a choice was made...
The ACT
To get into prison Scott had decided to do something rather cruel, he drugged the food his mother had cooked for one of her many patrons one night and after seeing them eat, he waited for them to go to sleep. He then dragged the man's body outside the trailer, behind the shed and proceeded to cut the victim's heart out. With this act, Scott had finally reached a plateau and awakened the cruel, brainchild within him. Of course, as he wanted to be caught, he didn't hide the body but instead waited to be discovered. And in the morning he was discovered, arrested and finally, after a standard trial, plead guilty to insanity charges which were upheld. However, as his crime was so callously cruel he was still sent to prison for fifteen years. LPI Sugarland was his destination, he didn't squeal and bemoan the Judge when being sentenced, he just looked on into the distance as his sentence was read out, awaiting the twists that his life was about to endure.
Prison Life
In Sugarland, times were hard and the prison warden and guards harder. They would beat and prod Scott mercilessly. There was also the other inmates, the hardest SOBs to walk those hallowed prison walls, but Scott grew to like them for who they were. He learnt to deal with them, how to turn one against the other to save his own skin. He also learnt many a skill for smuggling and staying alive, from how to bypass the cops, to how to fine tune freighter engines to achieve their maximum potential so as to outrun lawful, donut munchers at every turn. He also learnt to defend himself, right to the moment his lungs would give out. Fighting till Scott could fight no more.
This was also the time Scott would find out about TOP and thus awaken his interest in a group with such a similar outlook towards life. Now he wanted to have his freedom, to seek out this group and join their ranks. His sentence was almost up and parole offered even earlier. Scott changed his 'bad boy' act and conned the system to allowing him to seek his freedom. With such freedom granted with both purpose and direction, it was a breath of air such that Scott had never tasted, nor smelled. This was it, time to seek that adventure and greed that TOP promised.
Who knows what the future holds for Scott Scot!
So...would Uncle Pete need such a cruel, insanely evil and calculated bastard?! Only time would tell.

Mister Scot,
Consider yourself lucky you caught my attention. Not that it's a good thing.
That's quite a sad story you got going on there. And we've heard every single one on the book, so that's saying something. The Project could make use for a man like you.
Do take note, however, that any homicidal intent stays at the door. We don't tolerate murder. You'll kill when ordered, and only in extreme circumstances. We are opportunists, not assassins. You will abide by our rules or be kicked out of the airlock.
A representative has been sent to your broadcast signal's location. Sit tight and let the fun begin.

The awful plight of he who cannot draw to save his own life.
Opal had a decent childhood, for an orphan. Parents part of the numerous losses to the early nomad invasion. Which, as she grew up, probably out of pity, landed her a paper pushing/errand running job with the liberty security force. Kind-of low key, but they kept her for her ability to handle systems and learn about them quickly enough. She was strongheaded, a little cocky as a result of the somewhat above average skills working with computer systems and electronics. She had a field job for a while, apprehending people, eventually, she eve had a position working on base electronic security. Which, unfortunately, gave her access to intelligence.
Intelligence she could sell, specifically to pirate scouts whenever she was on her way between home and wherever.
But as is the story with overconfidence, youth, and misplaced skills, you get caught.
Fast.
When you least expect it.
As a result, she's looking for whatever work she can find. Slum-City is one of the places that can offer these things. Work. And a place to stay.
