Rheinland General Announcement:
Message from the desk of the Chancellor.


My faithful pilots of the Rheinland Military,
Due to inefficiencies in our current military ranking system, a new one will be put into use. There will be a number of changes, for now ranks will remain static until the transition is complete. I apologize for any inconveniences this may hold, but it is necessary to accomodate for our growing ranks and will improve combat effectiveness (hopefully) exponentially.

Until then, if there are any questions, comments, or suggestions, please direct them toward my office. They will all be answered in good time.


Since this is as good a time as any, I have been contemplating the decommission or reassignment of the Battleship Alzette, my flagship. It is an unnecessary drain on resources, due mostly to the fact that it never sees combat in comparison to our other battleships and if need be, I'm sure my dear friend, Admiral Krieg, will most certainly give me a lift if I need to go anywhere.

Flight Action Report

Today [Rm]-Klaus.Stahr and [RM]-Dieter.Schprokets And i were patrolling Stuttgart When LWB-Scythe entered system , We then proceded to remove him from the system unfortunately On the way i ran into engine trouble
and was forced to disengage and drop out of formation .

[RM]-Dieter.Schprokets Went ahead and engaged Scythe and fortunately was able to force the LWB Pirate to leave space.

I'm happy that we were able to end this violatile situation without any casualties and surmise that scythe was either here to pick a fight or prey upn civilians.

Later That Evening Me And [RM]-Dieter were Patrolling around Planet New Berlin When Dark Ranger Arrived and was looking to start some trouble and refused to answer our questions and contuned to verbally insult us I aksed him to either leave Rhineland space or we will be forced to remove him .

Refuseing to comply with our orders we proceded to engage him And unfortunately Myself And [RM]-Dieter were not able to apprehend as Dieter was shot down and Dark ranger manage to get away before i could engage him . We sent out a distress signal But [RM]-Von.Warsteiner arrived too late before Dieter was shot down, Fortunately Dieter managed to eject and made it to the Battleship safely.

[Rm]-Von.Warsteiner And i continued the search but dark ranger managed to get away and left Rhineland space but i am certain we have not seen the last of him .

Because of Dark Rangers' actions and refuseing to comply with our orders I am requesting that he is put on our kos list , An attack on a Rhineland military Officer can't not go unanswered .

I was Patrolling New Berlin When [HF]-Shaman from the pirate faction known As Hellfire Legion Entered new berlin , Ordering him to leave system or i will be forced to engage he did not acknowledge to my orders and so the hunt begin , Unfortunately due to me being the only [RM] Pilot on duty i was hardpressed to keep up the search and unfortunately i wasn't able to find him and he had retreated to the liberty system where i have no jurisdiction .

A busy night for the Rheinland Military.

Returning from BB Strausberg, I encountered Julio_Ibanez[TBH] near the Brandenburg Border Station. I engaged him but was outclassed, I called in backup, and led by Vineta, the squadron was successful in driving the Corsair to the edge of space. Shortly thereafter, the Corsair Moore[TBH] was seen in the New Berlin system, just as the Admiral joined us in space.

Moore could not be found, and took it upon himself to leave Rheinland space. I suppose he had better things to do than get killed.

[N] Atalawohisdi arrived at New Berlin shortly thereafter, lingered near the Sigma 13 Jumphole, exchanged "pleasantries" with the Rheinland Military, and left Rheinland space.

He returned after some time, and after a frustrating chase around the ring and into the Aachenfeld, he was surrounded and his ship destroyed. My bomber's Nova's dealt the death blow.

(OOC : I confess to accidently shieldrunning near the end of the encounter with [N]. For some time it was just myself and him duking it out, and the pattern of the fight was "cruise, stop, fight, cruise stop, fight, etc" for a while. On one occasion I thought he was starting to cruise, so i lit my engines up, but he wasn't. I turned off my engine but not till I'd got some distance. He called me on it, and unintentional or not, I did make a mistake. Felt like a bonehead. My apologies to him. Certainly cheapens the kill)

I have returned to New Berlin on
SUBJECT: Engagement in New Berlin
I have returned after the aformentioned engagement to standard duty, receiving funds from a RepEx employee friend, buying and equipping a bomber in Omega 15, scanning incoming ships and scanning incoming ships in New Berlin. However, after several minutes I detected an incoming hostile contact. I flew towards the ship and found it to be a Lane Hacker capital ship. I requested that it's captain immediately leave New Berlin then as I was about to request assistance from a nearby bounty hunter pilot the Hacker opened fire. I attempted to engage him but was rapidly destroyed after getting in a few shots. My escape pod drifted back to New Berlin and the fate of the remaining participants remains unknown.
I have enclosed several shots from my black box captured mere moments before the destruction of my ship;

A close shot it was when on patrol earlier today. A Red Hessian gunboat was found outside Planet New Berlin attacking Civilian and Military ships. The Vineta's power opened fire on the gunboat ripping its shields to nothing, and decimating its hull. Zingulitus was destroyed and has now been placed on our 'Kill on Sight' list.

After the Hessians ship was destroyed, I returned to the planet for a ship inspection. I relaunched 2 hours later to find a Zoner Juggernaut outside Dortmund Station. I requested him to stop, no response. I ordered him to stop, still no response. And he began to head to Hamburg. I managed to get ahead of his ship and disrupted it and started prepping my guns to fire. Once he fully stopped, he opened fire on my Cruiser before I got my chance. I launched evasive maneuvers around his ship and began to bring down his shield. I began doing hull damage, and when I did, the target ran to the Hamburg system.

My Cruiser had been badly damaged, I returned to Planet New Berlin where the Vineta is currently undergoing repairs. And with this incident, Valdemarian has been added to our 'Kill on Sight' list.

All for now, For Rheinland!

Through the course of the day i maintained routine patrols around the New Berlin System. Everything, aside from the occasional trade lane disruption from the local aggressors, was going smoothly. I was getting ready to head back to planet side when things changed for the worse. To my horror, an Outcast destroyer slipped under the radar, and managed to move right through all defenses to orbit new Berlin itself. I... I did not know for sure what to do. My ship was under equipped to take on such a dangerous threat by myself, and the local police seemed to be standing off for the moment. I moved to a defensive position above The Ring to try and speak with the pirate, while maintaining my distance. Thats when i was able to scan his ship, and find he had 5 civilian pilots as prisoners. Right as i went to hail the ship, a bounty hunter in a large vessel completed launching from the planet. He took initiative and immediately began to fire upon the pirate. I snapped out of the daze i was in, and assisted in removing the pirate from our house.

I was able to tractor in the containment pods the prisoners were in, and safely return them to Police HQ on New Berlin. I am sure they will be able to find their way back to their homes. The rest of the day has gone well, no further pirate incursions as of yet.

Today New Berlin seemed to be undisturbed, so myself being with Lts Guntram and Barkhorn I took it upon myself to conduct training. High command should be happy to know both pilots were coming along well, Barkhorn in his bomber shows promise and although was unable to bring me down it is clear he possess skills greater than the average bomber pilot. Guntram was even more surprising, she too had no luck in brining me down, but she shows talent far above her time in service, it is easy to see Lt.Guntram will be my equal possibly my better in no time at all. Now that I've done some work I'm sure even admiral Kaiser will agree I've earned myself a drink.

I've been held up in Liberty for the moment. I had to get a pair of those delicious shield strippers. Bloody
expensive. Spent my paycheck for the last three months on them, oh well... Worth it. Little else to report.
Liberty doesn't even notice me flying around. Sort of sad, isn't it? At least I get the guns. I wonder when those
Interspace guys are going to get their hands on the plans and start sellin' 'em in Rheinland. Meantime, I'm
settled. Catch you commander guys when I get back.

I was talking to Kathrina while I was up there. Probably a little careless. Sounds like a good pilot, though. She
told she scared off Mon'Star... lunatic... I'm gonna lay low for a little while before returning. Can't wait to meet her
when I get back.

UPDATE
I've returned to Rheinland. IFF returned to normal. Ship ready for general combat... Except my shield. If anyone
runs across a class 8 light fighter shield, tell 'em to send it my way!

**Everybody! Meet Schatten (Shadow, in english). He's my new RM character. Light Fighter Pilot. You'll figure
out his personality real quick, I think. He'll be fun to play. If you meet him, he's a Lieutenant like the rest of you
working mugs. I'm not going to take command with him. Period.
