' Wrote:How? The intent of a scaled morality system is to simplify things - to reduce something wildly complex into a simple formula. It closes down RP rather than opening it up - and seeing that we just concluded that it is 100% relative anyways (based on context and character interaction) there is no point whatsoever in such a system. It's hollowed-out by being relative.
Rather I would suggest going by such character interaction on a case-to-base basis - if a Corsair is shooting at me like crazy without really talking much, I can conclude he is not really aligned with my character. If I meet another Corsair who is interested in conversation and have aims that correlate with mine, I will treat him differently. And so on.
That's just the relationship scale:lol:
But the morality system just says why are you doing what you're doing and what you wanna do, I think it's pretty easy, just like my main's Neutral-Good, he thinks RM is Lawful-Evil cuz they outlawed Bundschuh even after they fought the nomad war and they hate anybody who doesn't love the chancellor, I don't see any "good" trait in the RM.
Like I said before, sometimes you can simply look and see who's good and who's bad, and sometimes discovering it is like a human trying to find the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything and what does it have to do with 42
yeah, most stuff I've seen by what they ends are:
Order: Neutral Good
Council: Neutral/lawful good
Hessians: Chaotic neutral, but fighting Lawful-Evil
LWB: Dunno:wacko:
Bundies: Chaotic/Neutral-good

About the op, i don't find that real deal goodness anywhere in disco <.<
Not even Order.
Everyone will take an innocent's life for the greater faction good or something like that.
That ain't good. That's business.

[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:12:00] Traxit: this is smut stop
The hell is "neutral-lawful", anyway? Also you won't see a single faction that tries to be space hippies, so everybody will have some blood on their hands. The question is - what is this blood for?
Order - countering noms and nom technology.
Council - monarchy sucks, oppressive one even more so.
Hessians - workers of the world unite.
LWB - farmers of the world unite.
Bundies - hipsters of the world unite.
Sure they all kill people, but if you want an omlette, gotta break some eggs.
Sorry I meant they shift between neutral and lawful:laugh:
But where do they exactly have "blood on their hands"
They're mostly on self defence or offensive against the ones that attack them, that's not randomly killing that's war.
Of course you gonna break an egg to make omellettes! they're the main ingredient!
you mean innocents? that's not making omelette that's shooting the dog
