"It didn't really feel like there were a lot of other options." He replied. "I was pretty much wanted in every house across Sirius. Every day followed a simple order of running and hiding on different Freeports across the sector." Alex completed the latest modification to the code and the computer ran it.
"Then one day I'm surfing through network connections and find one labelled 'The Intruder' I tore the firewall to pieces, and made all the work Blain had done on the electronic security look like an amateur set-up. I didn't even know what The Society was then. I just thought it was some two-bit pirate with decent computing skills. Then a couple days later Blain finds me and rather than getting angry over me evicerating his security set-up he offers me a job.
"I was feeling like I was at rock bottom and I figured at least with them I'd have some kind of protection from the mercenaries, freelancers, and bounty hunters who wanted me dead. It was supposed to be temporary but... well... they're like family now. And yes I know how cliche that sounds." Alex sighed and waited for the computer to finish doing what he had told it to.
"And what about Hunter? What's his story?" Alex asked.
"All I know are the stories. His dad was killed by Nomads. He found to the Order, his Hawk falling apart. He was made a Captain. He participated in the Battle for Toledo, and was Alpha Two. He flew with Trent and all of them. Then he disappeared, reappeared, disappeared, and reappeared. Was promoted, and was assigned a cruiser after about a year. Year later, this. He flew with Christopher Dangen, was the Order pilot who got within 17k of Manhattan with a nuke...hell, thats just stories at the bar here."
Rei sighed.
"But upon being assigned here, you are told one rule. Don't frakk with his family."
Rei paused.
"He is hated, but...he shrugs it off. He does his best, but...he's one guy. But everyone on this ship save yourself is loyal to him. We all would follow him to hell. Because, despite being blacklisted, he is loyal to the Order. He's seen too many Fleet Admirals go by. He's lost too many friends. And thats only the tip of the iceberg. He is dangerous when his friends are threatened. Hell, he mobilized what seemed like half of Sirius to find someone."
Rei fell silent.

"In another life I think I would have loved to fly with this guy." He replied. "But with current situations the way they are... well maybe some day." Alex tapped away at his keyboard the most recent code having been run.
"I've almost got this though so unless you can give me anymore information on Daniel Marshal or Julian Creed or something I'll probably be off soon." Alex yawned and a thought dawned on him.
"Oh right! I almost forgot, I was going to ask you about Emma. Evan mentioned Jeremy met her... do you know how she is? Anything like that? Or do I have to ask Jeremy?"
Arriving at ths bridge, Alex would see Jeremy standing at thr biggest window, watching his patrol wing fly lazily by. Near him, at tge helm, was a blue'haired woman. Hearing tge footsteps, Jeremy turned. Smoothing out his white and black jacket, he walked up to Alex.
"Anything?"
Rei backed off a bit, giving them space.

"Well there was a guy who was edited out of the orignal video who stood around the site of the explosion for four hours and then left right before the bomb went off. He's a mercenary named Julian Creed who was apparently hired by Daniel Marshal, who I think flies for The Order but I can't be sure." Alex sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"I've almost got the video reversed now so we'll see if there's anything else telling. Mainly though I came up here because I had some questions about Emma."
