"Indeed," Alex replied. "Same goes for this Creed fellow. If he knows anything, he'll tell me." Alex cracked his knuckles. His PDA beeped and he took a moment to check it. The most recent reversal had done its job and the video was finally back to its original form.
Problem was, it was a security camera and the quality was horrible. The man who actually planted the bomb could have been just about anyone with the same haircut as Alex. He may have two names but he didn't feel any closer to his ultimate goal.
"Video's finished." He told Jeremy and slid the PDA across the table so he could have a look.
Jeremy sighed. "I've seen old Earth camcorders with better resolution...God..." Jeremy tapped the table idly. He looked at it. "Can you think of any way to clear it up any more?"
"Enhancing still images is hard as hell. Enhancing video is damn near impossible." Alex replied. "I could clear it up but it would take weeks, possibly even months."
"It's more a matter of re-rendering the video files after running them through an enhancer. The enhancer would have to analyze the video and then re-render it and that takes for-bloody-ever." Alex sighed and finished his beer.
"But I should have plenty of power on my laptop alone to run it its just then my computer will run slow as hell but I can live with that."
"It would help," Alex said with a sigh. "But not much. We'd still be looking at..." He ran over some calculations in his head. "Two weeks probably before the video would be usable. And even then I have my doubts. Creed's had all his apples in a lone up until now and I have a feeling like his body actor won't be an exception. He probably looks enough like me that I won't be able to use it to clear my name but... well at least it gives Evan something to pass around in the bar.
"The fact of the matter is that Creed clearly didn't pull this off alone, judging by the amount of technical computer skills this took, not to mention video editing, body actors, buying bomb components, my guess is there were a lot of people involved. Sooner or later someone's going to slip up and say something they're not supposed to and that's how we find Creed. We find Creed we make him talk. He talks and admits guilt and we're golden. That with the video should convince the BPA to drop the terrorism charges. Then I just gotta figure out what to do about the piracy charges..."
