I was under the impression that using white-cell tech without the leading faction's permission was sanctionable. You probably shouldn't be doing it without permission.

' Wrote:Maybe. You won't know until you ask them. Which you'll probably want to do either by making a thread in the Communication Channel, or by posting in their tech-request thread (if they have one).
:/ as a congressman I can say that we view salvagers as something that's not just a ship, but a home. It's not so much as a specific class of ship more than an attempt at pigeon holing a bunch of ships that junkers built for themselves piece by piece and passed through generations. Because of this, salvagers have a special reputation among junkers, and it's not something that any junker would part with willingly. To see a non-junker flying around in a salvager would be taken at the very least as an affront to one of the few things that junkers hold as uniquely their own - and would be dealt with severely.
You could ask, but it's very unlikely that someone with no connection to the junkers before hand would get permission to get one :/
You could try a defection scenario, but even if you did get oorp permission, the junkers do not take kindly to traitors and would most likely make your life more difficult than it's worth to just pilot one as a junker after all.

the vessel is never seen outside of the hands of Junkers, as the ship is by no means sold
=sanctionable even with permission. No permission can change anything. Except for permission from admins (mythical SRP).
But. As far as I know Congress usually doesn't file sancion reports, they at least try to convince the offender in-RP. (I'm not a member). However it is still a risky thing to do.
(Guys, seriously, don't give him advice that can get him sanctioned. Please.)
