Once again the server was pretty quiet. I pointed one player towards a server-acceptable name, helped someone else out regarding the lack of restart commands and (I'd like to think) helped someone looking to join the Order| (Here's the link if you happen to stumbled over. Remember. I'm watching. Always watching.).
Today I had a very good and productive 2 hour shift. It wasn't over bearing, but steady.
A pilot asked me about starting a faction. I encouraged him to do so. I told him to find some friends and/or post your ideas on the forum for other people's opinion to gather interest and members.
Another pilot ask about some server commands. I answered his question and pointed him to the list of commands on discoveryfl/wiki.
One gentleman, asked if I was taking pictures for the .86 promo. "Nope, just answering questions," was my reply.
A trader asked me to scan his ship for proper ID/equip/ship combo. He was all good.
One pilot asked about recovering lost ships. I first informed him oorp chat was not allowed. After that, I told him what he could do and where to post that kind of request.
I was asked twice about what powers I have. I don't blame them for asking. Face it, angels are closer to the Almighty than most.
I did a short shift today a little bit less than an hour,
and yes, I'm not dead, i know I've been gone for awhile and I'm even surprised that my characters where not deleted.
I just helped some people with some minor questions and corrected someone with some incorrect spelling, even though my spelling is occasionally horrific as well.
my birthday is this Saturday so I'll be taking another absence, hopefully a shorter one then my past three month absence from disco
[font=Times New Roman][color=#000000]Well, everything is back up and running. (//I had a virus, freelancer was just not playable with the excessive ping..)
Only did a short shift today, around an hour, maybe a bit less, but spent some time in both New York, and New London, Tried to contact a Zoner who had engaged someone without RP, but he ignored me and carried on his merry way. I also answered a few questions about gold mining in Dublin, and assisted in an armour transfer in Leeds, had to get an Anki to fit it in my ship, but that went well.
(On that note, I cant remember your name, Mr. Bounty hunter, but thanks for not killing that outcast while we were trying to do that.)
In these final days of my career as an probational angel, I am engeling as much as I can, in the last hour or so I helped several people, one with issues aquiring a rheinland pirate cruiser, and a few others I can't remember, i have a bad memory. More will follow, but not much more...
Well, I was able to pull a 2 1/2 hour shift today.
A freelancer asked me about Gallia freighters used outside in New York. I let him know that Gallia freighters can't leave Gallia according to the tech chart. Unfortunately, the war has start, so, that might change things. I let him know to look at the forum for the most current updates to that.
I found a pilot with an ID issue. His rep wasn't high enough to purchase the correct ID. So, I encouraged him to do some missions. After an hour, he came back with the correct ID mounted.
2 new pilots contacted me about getting the best start on Discovery. I let them know about the /restart commands and both Discovery websites. I hope they do well.
Did a short one hour shift and received two requests for help.
The first pilot asked how to find the the alien JG in Kansas. He was in the general area, but still no site of it. I ended up flying over there to lend a hand. We found it. He thanked me profusely. A little above and beyond, but worth it.
The second pilot asked for a the list of locations to find a shield he wanted to purchase. I refered him to the discovery wiki site and discribed where to pull that info up.
