I will get to the point with your questions

Query one: BMM has a neutral hostile stance towards the outcasts. Due to our limited resources in the area, we believe it is not wise taunting them, as it will likely urge them to take revenge on us. We have enough to worry as is, and we do not wish to give them more reason to assault us. In short, we are neutral-hostile towards them, while they tend to be hostile towards us.

Query two: I demanded no escorts. I am confused as to what you are pertaining to. The contract we are signing pertains to BMM- escorts being allowed to mine in the fields with us, whether they be mercenaries, indie miners that are aligned to us, or "lower caste" untagged BMM miners. This is to discourage conflict with IMG from happening. It is a precaution on our end, to maintain order.

1. Escort ship classes

I think we misunderstood each other at query 2, so perhaps let me clarify what is important to me and you can say whether that is acceptable for you: I understand that security is an issue and so you can bring escort craft into the field.

But: We will not accept BMM ships that are larger than a bomber-type vessel as escorts in the fields.


2. Mercenary hired for security

We also do not want BMM to work with the Mandalorian Mercenary Company because they actively hunt IMG in the Taus (while they don't dare to do that in Bretonian House Space), so hiring them would lead to preemptive attacks against your escorts by Colonial Forces or IMG Defence or by attacks of the Mandalorians against our pilots.

Please specify how BMM's relation to the different Mercenary Companies is because Mercs can cause a lot of damage and I am not fond of them operating near to our mining. They are too unpredictible. If you do not work with mercenaries, I don't have to know about BMM's stance towards the different groups.

Obviously, I would appreciate if BMM brought their own security wing and would not rely on mercenaries in Tau 23 mining security.


3. Bretonian Armed Forces, Queen Carina's Privateers

I have read in a Dublin dossier that BMM is heavily protected by BAF.

Now, let's assume a situation in which your losses of ore, mining equipment and pilots are higher than expected due to hostilities with Gallic Brigands, Outcast hostiles, Kusari Forces, etc.

Will BMM request Bretonian Forces for protection in Tau 23? I ask because Bretonian forces in the northern Tau could lead to complications with Kusari and you know that we are neutral in the Bretonia-Kusari conflict.

Hello Samuel Degenhardt,

Again I will respond by query

but first I will mention that an untagged IMG pytho, "findrod" was disturbing our operations in our beryllium field, he kicked out a miner and started shooting one of our dacites. we offered him to escape, but he didnt comply until it was too late. he mentioned jack henderson about it, and I suspect he is trying to break down talks with hostile action.

query 1: What about folks like BHG and VPS? Can they bring gunboats?. And by ships larger than bomber-types, I'm assuming you are giving transports an exception.

query 2: Very well, BMM- will not invite MM into the niobium field.
We are generally neutral with merc companies. We have had bad experiences with quite a few in the past. BMM-'s relationship with mercenaries is fickle, so i cannot give you a good answer at this time. If it suffices, any merc company that works for us and provides results will gain our favor.

query 3: We might ask for QCP intervention, but we aren't here to nag the BAF about our troubles while the war is going on. In case if we do get assulted, we will however request hardware that suits our needs.

I cannot comment much on the incident because I have really not more than your report on it, but I can say that I regret that it happened. I hope that it did not do severe damage to equipment, health or life. I cannot think why the Dublin Coordinator's name was used in this, but if you are interested, you may have to adress him directly. He has chosen not to adress the topic at hand here.



1. Ship classes

Of course transports and Hegemon miners are allowed. I was talking about fighting craft limitations only.

And I'd prefer if hired mercenaries and hunters would not even be in Tau 23, but I am a realist, so I would go for the following compromise: If the mercenary company does not treat IMG or CR as their enemies/targets, they can use gunboats for escort purposes in the mining areas.

If they are our enemies, paragraph 2 comes into action and yu cannot work with them because there will be fighting all over the place.


2. Mercenary: Use with caution

I think it's best to just not work with mercenaries and freelancers, but if you have, make sure they are not the enemies of IMG or CR. If you can avoid hiring their services, I would be glad because I am trying to reduce every possibility of conflict and unpredictible third parties are no good in such a situation.

I will have to hold your company responsible if BMM's hiring of a mercenary or freelancer results in agression against IMG or CR. I am sure you understand that.


3. Queen Carina's Privateers

Our experience with the Queen Carina's Privateers hasn't always been a good one, I gathered from some older files. If you call on them, you will have to make sure that we are not the ones they protect you against. I also don't know how Colonials will react, but I don't see direct confrontation if they do not trigger it.


Perhaps a last, some personal words off the record: Not all IMG are happy with this decision. Mainly because your request to enter the Niobium market comes at a very "delicate" time. I would advise caution, especially for the more big-mouthed of your miners. We can talk about treaties calmly, but you and I know that our employees sometimes think differently. I'd hate to see more conflict because of heated tempers and provocative behaviour.

Hello Samuel Degenhardt,
Query one: If we will use mercenaries, we will have them target and destroy all hostile targets. Trusting your men will not attack us in your fields in offensive action, this will not happen. That being said, BMM- will do its best to make sure its units (including the ones it hires) doesn't disturb IMG in the niobium mining fields.

Query two: BMM accepts the responsibility of keeping our mercenaries in check, however we will not by any means take responsibility of a mercenary shooting IMG/CR ships, when we have not
a) worked with the mercenary
b) hired the mercenary.
Like in most companies, there are good friut and rotten fruit. It is always in BMM-'s interest not to cause ourselves trouble, so we will not do so.
Again, as requested we will refrain from inviting Mandelorians to the niobium field.

Query three: Since we do not Command the QCP, we cannot guarantee their actions. However I can garantuee that QCP ships will not harass IMG/CR in the niobium fields while BMM- tagged ships are mining there.


In short, we will do what we can to maintain the peace with IMG/CR in the niobium field while we are there.
