It did invent them, there are few role playing games that are BASED on player to player fighting.
And maybe Y had lag, getting X to kill him?:unsure:Poor X.
By Joe's definitoion I am a PVP whore. I trade in a cap armored Percheron just waiting for the right kind of pirate. It doesen't matter how much you charge, I WILL take a shot at your Ptrans. Those of you who have had their Ptrans destroyed by a Perchy, and you know who you are, will understand what I'm talking about.
I enjoy underdog PVP in freighters and transports. I die alot, but victory is that much sweeter.

PvPwhore!
Most of the players,who causing PvP
Most players who enjoy the PvP
Most players who "practice" PvP every day
Most players who are good at PvP
Players who PvP>>>in the first place
Players who have an excessive *desire* for a fight
Adrenaline players...
But,it is an integral part of RP
If you're good at PvP or not, you simply enjoying the PvP and find your own satisfaction.
Everyone practiced it in what is the best environment for him/you.
@Martin
@Joe
You forgot one: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showuser=7160
but he is great in both(RPVPlayer)
There are some players and when you meet them in game you may find it difficult to distinguish one of their characters from another, that is how transparently PvP oriented they are
The "Whore" part is the most important part of the phrase - what these players do not realise is that they have cheapened their presence and possibly the mod by apparently being all about the roleplay whereas the roleplay is possibly the most neglected part. Certainly, you'll see the odd diplomacy thing, the occasional event, maybe even the odd message dump post, but if you take notice of that stuff you're missing the point: it's a front and a pretty flimsy facade.
You can try to rehabilitate the term. Anyone who doesn't enjoy fighting is possibly playing the wrong game, but I regard the term as referring to a distinct group.
I think it is a specifically pejorative term insofar as it relates to many things:
1)conducting RP to ensure PvP advantage - this doesn't mean the RP isn't good; it's just transparently about something other than immersion once you know a player's habits
2)choosing and mixing most powerful tech when determining characters
3)viewing PvP as an end in itself - you'lll find a kind of amnesia about characters' stories
4)maintaining several characters in hotspots, sometimes of opposing factions
5)offering flimsy justifications for behaviour which is solely PvP oriented; this includes taking the slightest thing as a slight during conversation in game or as a player
6)having a distinct and possibly damaging attitude towards anything larger than a VHF; fighters require more dexterity and quick thinking, which is one skill set; less skilled players can compensate for two left hands with armour and shields that are much bigger; they are not true PvP whores but rather a kind of PvP troll - a large and ungainly opponent who you need a few friends to deal with.
7)maintaining that fairness is about numbers, which would be afir engouh, were it not so frequently undermined by 1 and 2 above
8)uses PvP skill to settle scores against others, in the absence of the ability to think, dialogue or consider that their own thoughts may be wrong
9) reacts disproportionately to losing a fight, as a result of being outnumbered, outgunned, ganked, outthought or having someone choose to run away.
Whores are great, but you wouldn't marry one. Unless she was retired. And medically sound. And you were open-minded and not the jealous type. And she hadn't worked in your hometown. Or had your father for a client. Or maybe you would.

I have to agree with this.
I'm not long in this game but what I saw so far, most dialogue in the game led to the pvp.

Phone number/website address please?
EDIT: How I got to that conclusion, that you are a whore.
Whore=Money lose
Whore*Whore=MoneyLose*MoneyLose
MoneyLose^2=anger^2
anger=evil^0.5
Anger^2=(evil^0.5)^2
evil=BadWife=Cheating=Whore.
Therefore if you are WhoreWhore you must be a whore
P.S I have nothing against you, I simply find this funny, if you are offended I'll remove it. you or any one else.
