I have used this ship for some time now. I thought it best to get approval from you.
Why do you not use other ships to fulfil that same task?
I am living close to the Nomad worlds - a very hostile environment - hence the need for a powerfull gunship. I could use the Conference class gunboat - like my sister Lula - but I do not have the same confidence in that ship as I have in your fine ship class.
Why should you be trusted/What have you done to earn our trust? [with proof]
The Lagavulins is a peace-loving family of Zoners, that make their living in some of the most remote systems of Sirius. We have no quarrels with any humans at all - and we avoid being dragged into fighting among men. In fact I have never killed any humans in my Ahoudori - ever.
My ship is exclusively used for exploration of the Nomad worlds. You see - my granddad - mr. Leo.Lagavulin - is looking for a cure for my father - who has been sort of - absent minded, since first hand contact with Nomads one year ago. He is not infected, mind you, like the Wilds or anything, but something else happended to him, and he is now spending most of his time on Freeport 11 - in darkness, since bright light seems to be hurting him.
My Ahoudori will never be used against Kusarians - nor their interests - of that you can be assure. If you want, I can make a trip to Kusari - so that you can inspect the ship further.
Do you agree that should you misuse this vessel that it's self destruct will be remotely initiated resulting in the ship's destruction?
Be assured that the Council has received your application and it has been brought up. Furthermore I can tell you that no one has spoken against you yet. The problem we are currently facing is that not even half of the present members have spoken at all so far.
However, I would like to present you with a proposal that might speed up the process in your favour.
As Kusari territory is quite a notable distance away from the systems you are operating in we do not have any accurate maps of this area of space. If you could provide us with some rather up-to-date information about the area and the residing parties, I'm sure this would show your good intentions.

I assume that knowledge of trade will only be helpful if we have knowledge of the area first. So a map of the area and some information of groups that are likely to be met there are welcome.

I am applying to use one of your Ahoudori Kusari Explorer class Gunboat within our fleet. It will serve as a on-site support vessel for our research fleet. It will be armed only with low class civilian fighter turrets for minimal offensive capabilities, but still a degree of defense.
