First incursion into the Kansas system was uneventful at most but fruitful in the least. IMG|Lavafresser and my Atlas IMG|Galena processed almost 7 tonnes of Iridium within a discovered field in the system.
Acquired resource purity was estimated in the 82% Ore-18% Waste percentages. I recommend that an exploration wing be dispatched to further investigate the system in order to get a full sense of what to find.
On the way back into magellan, we passed by a station wreck, classifying as Junction. Secondary recommendation-Possible future IMG site?
Last on the board, would be possible claims to the system should prospects pick up to a profitable level.

Log entry #1
I would first like to say hello to those of you who don,t know who i am. Name is Lisa Hayes daughter of Gene the Fearless leader of the IMG. I don't expect any special treatment and i will uphold my honor to the Guild till death do me part. After my mothers disappearance he has been reluctant to allow me to fly. Due to recent events the Guild can use every pilot it has right now, man or women! Tell gene I am safe and not to worry i will be home soon.
It was a calm night amongst the stars. My patrol started in Dublin out of Battleship Hood and without any resistance in my departure. My route took me to our station in Tau 31 then quickly south toward Magellen and Freeport 4. Along the way i past one trader full of Oxygen going to the Barrier Gate complex. The young man didn't seem too concerned of any pirates that may lie in his path. I wished him the best of luck and proceeded to the Omega 7 Outpost. I have shacked up here for the night and will run the same route back tomorrow.
The daring operation to supply the besieged Freistadt was a success. This is the data of the goods that were transported to the base:
White = more than will ever be used Green = enough supplies for over 2 months
[color=#FFFF00]Yellow = enough for 4-8 weeks Orange = enough for 3-4 weeks Red = less than 3 weeks
Furthermore, allied Capital vessels operating in Omega 7 inflicted losses on Rheinland forces yesterday, as the Colonials reported. Several Rheinland cruisers had to retreat or were heavily damaged in the fighting.
I would like to use this opportunity to thank all of you for their heroic efforts.
IMG offered Rheinland a cease fire some hours ago. The following content will be the subject of intensive debate. We hope that we can end the bloodshed after the escalation of the last 2 days.
This is an excerpt of the transmission that was sent to Rheinland:
Quote:The IMG offers a cease fire, effective now. We hope to end the bloodshed and the destruction with yesterday's proof of our unbreakable determination.
The IMG calls for a diplomatic meeting to discuss the future of Omega 7. We hope to come to a conclusion that creates a situation that is acceptable for both Rheinland and IMG.
The IMG offers the following basis for a compromise that can be discussed in its details:
IMG retracts its claim to the Northern part of Omega 7 and recognizes it as neutral territory, open for everyone to use.
IMG ends its hostilities against Rheinland forces and returns to a pre-conflict stance of neutrality. No compensations will be requested by IMG for inflicted damage by Rheinland forces.
IMG seeks for reconciliation with Daumann and Kruger, in order to return to non-hostile terms. No compensations will be requested by IMG for inflicted damage by Rheinland corporations.
The IMG will lift its economic sanctions against Rheinland and will ship resources to Rheinland again.
The IMG requests Rheinland to open its borders to IMG vessels again.
The IMG requests Rheinland to retract the shoot on sight orders and return to a status of pre-conflict neutrality.
IMG recognizes Rheinland's political claim of the South of Omega 7.
IMG requests permission to mine in the Southern Rheinland part of Omega 7. The IMG is willing to negotiate about the installation of a mining fee in exchange to a legal grant of unrestricted access to the resources. (This system works in Tau 23, where BMM mines next to IMG [cf.: The Tau Pact] and it even works in the chaotic Dublin system. It will work in Omega 7.)
IMG asks Rheinland to confirm the Independent Status of Freistadt and to refrain from disputing the IMG's ownership of Freistadt again.
IMG asks for the establishment of a Neutrality Zone of 5 or 10 klicks around Freistadt. The DHC bomber attack and the Rheinland blockade makes the existence of a Buffer Zone necessary.
IMG asks for the establishment of Freeport Rules to be applied in the Neutrality Zone that can be shaped in cooperation with Rheinland authorities but might not be identical with Rheinland law.
IMG will transfer pilots actively engaged in combat operations from Omega 7 in order to avoid retribution attacks.
The IMG asks for Rheinland forces and Rheinland Corporations to also transfer pilots that are likely to endanger the peace process out of the conflict area.
The IMG will start a step-by-step withdrawal of spacecraft and Marine forces within the next two months and return to a civilan mining operation if a conclusion about a mutual demilitarization is reached.
Prisoner exchanges will take part as soon as hostilities have ceased.
3. Orders for Omega 7: Refrain from violence
Do not engage Rheinland forces or corporations actively
De-escalate conflicts if they should arise.
You are of course allowed to act in self defence.
Do not give warmongers in Rheinland a reason to take shots at the fragile peace process that will be very much in our interest.
Thank you for your effort. If we stand united and show our determination, I am sure we can remain an influential factor in the Omega 7 system without hostilities.

Greetings, Ms. Schuster.
Thank you for asking questions that might help to clarify the overall situation in the Omega 7 conflict.
Quote:One
If they did not want the base, why do they embark it?
Rheinland never boarded Freistadt, and didn't try to. But: IMG and CR expected Rheinland to give a boarding attack a try because it would have made sense after the DHC bombed the station and Rheinwehr decided to cut it off by placing it under a blockade.
The lack of a Marine attack and the lack of an agressive Rheinwehr opration against Freistadt base made me drop the article from the list of requests.

Till the contract is signed, everything can happen, maybe even after that.
I agree. So everybody needs to do his job in a disciplined manner and keep in mind that it's in the best interest of IMG not to be drawn into another round of violence again. I will make sure the contract is carefully worded, in order not to make it easy for Rheinland warmongers to move against us again.

The other day I decided to head into Kansas after getting a call of a few miners there. I thought I could scrounge up a load of iridium for processing. What I found there in the clouds was an old ZoE Mining Drone. It was my understanding that Zoners did not mine, however it seems I could be wrong. Perhaps a look into this might be benefitcial to the IMG in the long run?

Greetings
This is Susan Rowlett, part of the IMG Defence/Escort wing. Even though the Leggionaires have been attacking IMG mining and trading vessels for quite some months, their activity in the region the last month has been dramatically increased. It's no secret afterall, that they openly co-operate with the local Outcasts.
Analysts in Falkland believe that the latest increase in Leggionaire activity has directly to do with the agreement that IMG recently signed with the Gallic corporation called IDF. Furthermore, they started to extensively use heavier ships, which have the size of a Hydra.
Anyway.. in the latest IDF convoy, me and a gunboat named Corona moved near Reunion to get the IDF transports and safely escort them to the Taus and back to Orkney. However, near Reunion we found an Outcast Dreadnought.. one of the biggest and most fearsome vessels in their cursed fleet. I told Corona to keep the Dreadnought in check while I was calling for bomber support in the IMG channels. The opportunity to sink such beast was at least, unique.
However, the help didn't come in time so the dreadnought managed to flee - with moderate damage - and dock in an asteroid base in Orkney. Unfortunately it wasn't over. This time 3 Leggionaire gunships attacked the lone Corona and managed to destroy it. The answer was instant and painful. One IMG bomber and 2 IDF bombers/escorts attacked the gunships with my assistance. Here is how the Legionnaire gunships look like. Unique design, heavy firepower.
However, they didn't last for much time. With the cost of one IMG escort the Leggionaire gunships were destroyed !
After we collected the survivors we called the IDF transports to pass through the minefield and move to Tau-23. Fortunately, noone else came to disrupt us and I finished my duty while having some tea onboard Reunion. Today I returned to Java along with another IMG escort to resume patrol/escort duties. That is all for now.

Good news, Guild.
<span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%]
There is peace in Omega 7.
We will be granted access into Rheinland in a few hours, so we can open the trade routes to New Berlin again and our Tau holdings can go to full working capacities again.
The solution is the following:
Temporarily, IMG will only mine in the Northern part of Omega 7. Advantages: there is some buffer space between DHC and IMG miners, so that conflicts are less likely. The wounds are still fresh.
During the next weeks, a new Omega 7 Treaty will be created by all involved parties in Omega 7. In this treaty the access to resources in Omega 7 will be defined and we will try to achieve our goals by negotiation rather than violence.
What does that mean for you?
You can mine in Omega 7 again without being a military target
You can only mine in the Northern part of Omega 7
Do not provoke any conflicts
Rheinland space will soon be open for all IMG shipments
Thank you for your patience, effort and endurance.
Samuel Degenhardt

Two groups of Corsair invaders took a beating yesterday night.
In the first shooting a small raider group consiting of the Sails group tried to provoke a response from Dublin Hood Defence Forces, who could not be drawn out for a fight as they were outnumbered. When BAF and EDGE forces showed up, IMG Defence joined the fight. All but Ms. Alice Etherington stayed out because of too intense cross fire.
Ms. Etherington scored the first kill in the fight in her Roc Bomber by hitting a dodging Sail raider with a Snac torpedo. Congratulations.
In the second attack, a Corsair raid party consisting of a lightly armoured Reconnaissance Cruiser and about 10 smaller craft, about 5 of them bombers, attacked Dublin, assumeldy seeking revenge.
IMG Defence scrambled and with the support of the IMG Core Zephyr "Rockabill" took their Cruiser out first and wasted the rest of them in the following short but fierce fight.
The lessons learnt from the fighting is that our Hydras perform well against Fighters, but tend to fall against massed bomber attacks. We lost one during the fight, the crew was saved and taken to Hood hospital. Also the loadout of the Rockabill seems to fit the mission environment. The Anti-Fighter Batteries were able to suppress the enemy movement efficiently and the Dual Mortars wasted the enemy Cruiser in one hit.
Recommendations:
In combat environment that include a significant bomber force, IMG Defence should rely on fighters. They can neutralise bombers easily and dodge enemy incoming capital ship, bomber and fighter fire. Anti-capital vessel fighting can be done more effectively by IMG bombers or the Rockabill. Hydras are perfect for the fight against the odd pirate or small marauder parties that consist of fighters and gunboats mainly.
Resumee: We won this time. Expect the Corsairs to come again. They never just accepted defeat. And we know from experience that there are many many more and better enemy vessels they can field against us.
