You know what?
I suck at PVP. I really do.
When it is one on one, I really feel bad dying, because I know that the other person probably had little to no challenge to take me out. When it is in a group fight, however, things are even worse, because I always manage to die early on during raids and people from the group are all like ://oh goddamnit Spaz :c
://Seriously?
:*Facepalm*
But still, I cannot help but to utterly adore raids and group fights (And not only because I have a smaller chance to get focused on mid-battle) and yet it seems they really tend to end early for me. There is nothing more annoying than to get ready for a cool little raid, only to die within the first two moments and then get stuck watching on an alt without the chance to join in.
You know what? Screw that.
Liberty Navy vs Rheinland Military
The Anti-5.7 Event
So this was an idea I had some time ago, which I think we already had a few times before. If you were around when we had the Pre 4.8x events, you might know how fun some mindless pewfests tend to be. Even more, how fun they are when you can contribute to the server lag without worrying about your participation being put to an abrupt end by one mislaid mine. So without a further shenanigans, let me try and explain what I had in mind:
The roleplay setting:
Never was good at this. I am sure the RM and LN officials can figure something out.
Rules
The main and biggest rule here as that the players with Liberty Navy, Liberty Security Force, Rheinland Military and the MND IDs are allowed to re-engage during the time of the event, but only in the Bering and Hudson systems.
Docking on Freeport 2, Cold Bay Depot as well as Barrow, Dawson and Pacifica is forbidden.
RM forces are forbidden to enter Texas, just as LN forces are forbidden to enter Hamburg.
The goal of the fight is to steadily force the enemy forces out of the system, blocking off the gates and jumpholes whenever possible, relocating and keeping your fleet alive via jumping damaged ships in and out of the battlefield and keeping tabs on the enemy and preventing them from ripping through the blockade.
Usage of jumpdrives, cloaks, docking bays and lots of missiles is encouraged.
Basically a pewfest without reengagement rules.
Things I am still not certain about.
*This event would require one admin to actually babysit us. Not only to prevent from people from docking where they should not and such, but also to prevent station-gunned CSVs from trying to crash the party.
*I would love Xenos or other unlawfuls to pick a side.
*I would have nothing against Freelancer IDs from being hired on the spot.
*Not sure what happens with anyone else trying to move through those systems.
Time of the event.
If this gets an admin green, I would love if we could have this during the 30th, 31st and the 1st date, allowing most people to join in. The event itself would start during the peak-times.

Anyone is invited, indies and officials alike.

The event encourages people to use any ships they have access to.
And that is pretty much it. Discuss.

if this were a real event might as well make a way to encourage ppl to participate, eg. all other systems are sealed off. I wanna see 100 players in two or three places shooting at each other 8|
Sounds good if I moved my stuff I would be around selling ammo and bots.

Great idea on making it very encouraged, but there's a difference between encouraging and allowing nothing but. If this were to happen, I don't think sealing all other systems would be a good idea because people who either don't want to fight or don't have a fighter would have nothing to do at that time; thus causing many grumpy starfleas.
I would recommend putting up server messages reminding people about it (Similar to the text that pops up every now and then explaining some of the server rules) obviously these would have the same frequency.
