Quote:yep. the entire interior of the ship is modelled and you can walk around the hanger. all the weapons are modelled down to the last.detail and battleships have gunner seat as well. it all looks pretty immersive.
That might be a bit too much for the majority of Cap-players on the server to deal with, I feel bad for saying.
the running costs for a cap ship like the Idris Corvette would be massive, but maybe there will be a way to charge players to land on and take off from your ship in their fighters.
generally they'd have to be crewed by npcs, but if you could get enough friends or faction members to log on with you I'm sure you would have incredible battles with several gunners and you on the bridge. real turkey shoots.
but theycost about $1250 in real us dollars, so there won't be too many around.
cap ships will be for clans/factions to use as a base for operations. most of the gameplay in star citizen is focused on fighters and transports with 6 crew or less.
in star citizen all our lone wolf capship pilots will have to become fighter pilots or traders.
there also won't be a lot of big fleets. mostly dogfighters and explorers. but that's the way it should be from my POV.
It would be team based yes.
The Idris got 3 fighter docks and I doubt that the costs would be that massive if you divide it up to 10-12 people that would be crewing one.
My crew fellows brought 6 of those Idris babies, we would rob you with style.
