Oh comon guys I'm trying to bring a lil 4.85 feeling in this as making money nowadays is WAYYY TOO EASY, so loose a lil bit more money, whats the big deal? 500k ain't that much. It was hard back in 4.85.
The thing is, the lesser challenge you add here the more people get bored, thats what I'm trying to do. Add some challenge.
Adding a 0.5M "death tax" would not affect most people even a bit, me included, because of preexisting piles of cash. It's going to affect just new players.

This would make them later realy experienced players, trust me the challenge and all. People mostly learn in harsh conditions how to play and get realy good at it.
Also look at the current new players = Full Cap Ship whores, enough said?

Can have 2 outcomes - first they learn and they learn well.. Else, they leave the server to find another where its bit easier for start-up players.

Oh right! Forgot about that one lol, of course Cap Ships would loose more, you got a point there.
Or how about the players Level? o_O You know the higher the level the more money someone got. So maybe add the system according the Level of a player, low levels 500k - 1M , higher level 1m - 2m (or what do you think how much it should be?)
NOTE: Also you guys talk like this Mod is all on PvP based, seriously you know it needs some RP first before you engage. If lolwuts are just engaging you without a word you go Report them, simple as that. You guys talk like everyone would die every minute, but you know the 2 Hours rule, once you died don't enter with that char for 2 hours. I think the money amount is realy not that much as Disco is not meant to be only PvP based. Geez you guys talk like its all about bluemsgs.

Money sink based on Level of the player is kinda fair I think if someone has low level it'd just take away 200k maybe or even less. So it'd be all balanced.

I understand what you are saying and its actually "realistic" but you have to consider situations like this -
"I got 500 millions, I buy a BS for 480-490 million, I got 10 million with me just. But my LEVEL shows as 80 due to the BS worth, not the cash. Now my ship blasts, my level is 80 so, accordingly, I get a deduction of around 2-3 millions... Won't it cause me grief aside the Regens I have to pay for ??

I know : )))))) You're right. Well of course this has to be discussed, hmm... But lets be honest, when someone is able to buy a Capital Ship, given the conditions it is realy good armored it has better fire power and is realy more powerfull then any other Snub and Gunboats around there. Even if you have just 10 mils around you, it'd just be as realistic to take the risk to even go out with a Capital Ship, get it? It's for your own risk, it might even make the Cap Ships more special in this case, as you might not want to die with it because of the amount of money it'd reduce. Well if we can make it Ship based, maybe that'd make things easier. You know people would then think twice or even more times before they log their Cap Ships.
Now that I think of this would be realy great. You wouldn't see Cap Spammers in liberty anymore as he'd think again before he logs his cap. If he's willing to take the risk of paying the amount of money, fine. But if others be like "Dude don't want to risk paying so much, will log better a fighter or a bomber today and maybe log a Cap ship tomorrow". : )))
