I actually want to try SWG badly... from someone who played for ayear on Freeworlds, I really came to love my twi'lek character~ wanna want it on a game with more possibilities than FL
i like FL the most i dont like SWG because of the attack system where a creature biting will still hit you even if your miles away, and EVE is just hidiously compilcated and the leveling system encourgaeas you not to play which sort of defeats the point of pay,to pay
Eve - I am playing the trial right now
had the help of someone in TS to start me out
with a frigate which made it impossible for me
to die when I finished training.
But from what I gather if you die and have no
insurance. You lose EVERYTHING.
(Ship, player stats, etc.)
SWG - Have it played it got a level 50 Jedi thingy
I like the space combat in it I almost had the
highest level imperial then got bored.
Managed to own my own city and be the mayor
of it for a long time
Had several shops I was rather successful in
selling things way cheaper then they were
(MONOPOLIZING YAY!)
(Thinking of replaying it too was a fun game)
FL - I play to dang much thats all there is to it.

Not true.
First, you lose your ship yes. But even if you have no insurance, you get something like 25-30% of the price of the ship back. So if your ship is 100mil, you get about 25 mil back. So you aren't left with absolutely nothing.
Further, you can buy a clone to hold more skillpoints.. If your ship dies, you jump out in a pod and all is well. Except for the lost cash that is. If someone destroys your pod however, THEN you die. If you have a clone that covers your skillpoints, your fine. If your clone doesn't (say you have 1 million skillpoints, the default clone that you'll always have until upgraded covers 900,000) cover your skillpoints, you only lose those skillpoints it doesn't cover. In the example, that means you go from 1,000,000 skillpoints, to 900,000 points. You lose the last 100,000 skillpoints you trained.
The ONLY thing dieing effects is the money lost from your ship + implants, and the skills you MIGHT lose if you don't keep your clone updated. Keep your clone updated and you will NEVER lose your skills.
