I need as much data as possible regarding this issue.
Aerelm informed me in some cases, when a ship undocks from the ship with the docking module, that ship is still considered as docked and the player has to use /jettison to get rid of the already undocked ship.
I need informations related to how frequently this bug happens, if it happens a lot in specific circumstances or whatever else can be relevant.
I know during one of the Hamburg raids when Jeremy Hunter pulled out the [LN]-LNS-Nevada, it still had ships docked on it that had long since undocked, and he had to /jettison all of them to let us on the ship. Other than that I can't say I've heard of the problem, other than it seemed to be common enough that most people knew how to deal with it when the problem came up.
Used to happen pretty much all of the time on an LPI Luxury liner with modules. Had to /jettison all almost every time.
However, that was around.. 6-7 months ago. Haven't tested that personally since then.

I haven't had the issue for a while now. Used to be very common.
What I find more interesting is that ever since the introduction of docking modules, whenever I end up using one actively, jumpholes and -gates break within the hour. The infinite jump sequence bug, that is.
I pointed that out to Cannon a year or two ago (or whenever it was DMs were introduced to begin with). It seems illogical that docking modules would break jumpholes somehow, but it's suspicious how it happens almost every time.

Yep, and that was only a month or two ago. Happens occasionally with [UC]V-Minerva as well. I haven't paid too much attention for a pattern of events that might cause this however
It's not too serious of a bug, you just need to type in /lstdocked then /jettisonship <name> ... For players not used to docking modules though (Jeremy Hunter in the above case), it can be a bit of a hassle
Which brings me to another point, the docking module commands. Half the time I type in /jettison and get confused because I forget that it's actually /jettisonship. Can there be something like a command help menu for docking modules?
Also (apologies if I'm going a bit overboard here), in relation to this thread, is there a way make it so that Police IDed players using TLAGSNET can scan for docked ships? It could work like the /lstdocked command, except that it would be /scandocked <name> where <name> is the ship you're scanning
"You see what your knowledge tells you you're seeing. ... how, what you think the universe is, and how you react to that in everything you do, depends on what you know. And when that knowledge changes, for you, the universe changes. And that is as true for the whole of society as that is for the individual. We all are what we know, today. What we knew yesterday, was different; and so were we."
