*A loud screach fills the channel followed by bursts of static, after a few seconds the channel becomes reasonably clear*

...Darn thing... This is Leon Stanley speakin', I got an update regardin' our deal.

I've been chasin' up leads since I got back to Liberty an' I've managed to secure you the 1500 units o' counterfit software as per agreed but there's a catch. See the folks who get this stuff ain't exactly the type to be stock pilin', they've only got a few 'undred units in reserve so it's gonna be a few days to get the whole shabang. Now what I can do, if ya still wantin' the deal, is load up my freighter an' bring 'em to ya in three runs, 500 units a time an' to square it I'll drop the price down to a solid million for the lot.

Oh I almost forgot, I managed to track down a broker who'll get me optical chips but it's darn pricey an' in none too friendly space...I'll pull some numbers real quick, hold on...Your lookin' at around a 1,100 credits per unit, factorin' in risk an' what not, around double the price o' the software. Still got nothin' on the optronics, can't find a soul wantin' to deal from Kusari but I'll keep diggin'

Lemme know what's what on this here channel, I've got it bounced off Beaumont so my boys will keep it safe.

*The message crackles away into the static*

Herr Stanley,

While I am admittedly willing to ask the question "In what Sirius is the contraband cheaper than the legal product", the three separate shipments of Counterfeit Software will do splendidly.

Bear in mind, of course, that all care should be taken to ensure that as few individuals as possible know that this product is being delivered to us.

You will have your million credits upon the safe delivery of the third shipment to our transports. I await your success.

*The channel crackles to life once more*

That's what I like to hear, fact o' the matter is I've already loaded up the first 500 an' on my way, I should be in New Berlin by tonight if luck holds, tomorrow if it doesn't. Either way I'll be with my kin on Kreuzberg so leave a message there an' we'll see about makin' a time for the drop.

As fer why legit goods are more expensive, well I reckon those folks don't consider shootin' ya after payment an' takin' it back.
Leon out.

*The static resumes as the message ends*

Herr Stanley,

We managed to finish and acquire the requested tobacco and software sooner than anticipated. We no longer have present need of your services.

I have, however, sent you the promised three-million Sirian Credits as a "thank-you" for having aided us.

I'll bear you in mind for future assistance.

*A low whistle fills the channel*

Payment has been recieved Mr Klugmann, a generous amount by all rights and I thank ya.

Leon out.
